Week 9 NFL Picks

The end of Week 9 marks the end of the first half of the 2023 NFL season. If you’ve been following our picks through the 1st 8 weeks, you know our Week 9 NFL picks will be ripe with winners.

Week 9 of the 2023 NFL season gets started on Thursday night with a couple of rough-and-tumble football teams. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is the site of TNF, where the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Tennessee Titans. Both of these teams made the playoffs just 2 years ago.

At this point of the season, every game is extremely important. The Steelers, at the time of writing, are a 3.5 to 4-point favorite with a total set of 37, depending on what book you use.

With four teams on a bye, Week 9 NFL picks can be tricky. Fewer games give sportsbooks an edge because their list is shrunk and provides more research opportunities. That’s why you need SportsHub and their Week 9 NFL picks.

Full Sunday of Action For Week 9 NFL Picks

Even though we have 2 fewer games this week, it doesn’t diminish the high-end content the NFL will be spitting out on Sunday! The 2023 NFL International Series continues with the 1st of 2 games – in consecutive weeks – in Germany.

Last season, the NFL featured its first game in Germany with a Week 10 game between the Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Munich’s Allianz Arena. Now, Frankfurt is the site for games in NFL Weeks 9 & 10.

The Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs kick off an outstanding day of football from Frankford Stadium. Here’s what we have in store for Sunday, November 5th, 2023, get your snacks ready:

  • Miami Dolphins vs. Kansas City Chiefs (-2.5) (9:30 a.m. ET)
  • Seattle Seahawks @ Baltimore Ravens (-4.5) (1 p.m. ET)
  • Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles (-3) (4:25 p.m. ET)
  • Buffalo Bills @ Cincinnati Bengals (+3.5) (8:20 p.m. ET)

What To Make of the Week 9 Schedule

Week 7 of this NFL season saw a bunch of favorites lose straight up. Including the Bills losing to the Pats, the Steelers beating the Rams, and the Vikings pulling off the MNF upset over the 49ers. This week may be the same. Some Week 9 NFL picks may look disgusting, but disgusting has been paying this season.

We have a different schedule to make our Week 9 NFL picks, with only one of the 14 games on the schedule being a divisional matchup. That’s when the Cowboys travel to play the Eagles.

The 4 teams on a bye in Week 9 are the Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars, and San Francisco 49ers. It’s been a bit of a mixed season for all of these teams so far. All with different variations. Hopefully, these teams can make some changes and move back in the right direction.

Tension will be high at MetLife Stadium for Monday Night Football. Both the Los Angeles Chargers and New York Jets are currently looking up at the playoffs. However, both teams could easily turn things around and make a run to close out the second half of the season.

MLB, NHL, and NBA lines are usually opened the night before, following most of that day’s action. College football and basketball vary, depending on the popularity of the matchup. Join Sports Hub now and take advantage of early betting lines. Our sharp handicapper release plays well ahead if the number is where they like it.

Some point spreads can move as much as 5 points or more, with totals seeing a shift up or down of 6+ points in some incidences. Week 9 NFL Picks: Point Spreads, Moneylines & Over/Unders

If there’s one thing that having so many sportsbooks out there now that’s good for bettors is line shopping. There are so many games with varying lines this week that our Week 9 NFL picks have many options to choose from.

The early Sunday game has the spread anywhere from Chiefs -2.5 to -5.5. That’s a huge difference! Another example is the Rams @ Packers, where the home team can be found as a 3.5-point favorite all the way to a 1.5-point dog.

As you move down the NFL schedule for Week 9, you’ll see more of the same. The Texans can be found from -1 to -2.5, while the Patriots are anywhere from -1.5 to -4 and the Saints from -3 to -5.5.

Some other lines to watch for your Week 9 NFL picks include:

  • Vikings @ Falcons (+1 to -1)
  • Cardinals @ Browns (-7.5)
  • Colts (-2.5) @ Panthers
  • Giants @ Raiders (-3)
  • Chargers (-1.5) @ Jets

Best Pick ATS

The Carolina Panthers are looking for their second straight win after winning in Week 8, but they are underdogs at home. It will be the Indianapolis Colts coming to town, and the Panthers are going to face a tough defense in this one.

Gardner Minshew is now the starting quarterback in Indianapolis and he has thrown seven touchdowns this season, but he also has five interceptions. This will be a game in which Minshew dominates though as the Colts are going to pick up a big win.

Indianapolis Colts -2.5

Best Moneyline Pick

All of a sudden the Minnesota Vikings are red-hot, but they are also now without their starting quarterback. Minnesota is a five-point underdog on the road in Atlanta this weekend, but that’s giving the Falcons too much credit.

Atlanta has really struggled on offense this season, and they have a big decision to make at the quarterback position. That Minnesota offense has a ton of talent on the roster, and the Vikings are going to pick up a big win in this one.

Minnesota vikings +180

Best Total Pick

The 2-6 Chicago Bears are set to visit the 4-4 New Orlean Saints on Sunday and you can find some good Week 9 NFL picks for this game. Chicago is going with rookie Tyson Bagent yet again, and that is a team that doesn’t really have much of an offense at all.

New Orleans wants to establish the run in this matchup, and they will try to put the game away with defense. The Saints shouldn’t have much trouble winning this game, and it’s going to be one that doesn’t see a ton of scoring.

Chicago Bears/New Orleans Saints Under 41

Best Player Prop

The Dallas Cowboys visit the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon for a huge game in the NFC East Division. The spread for this game is tight at just three points, but it’s all about the big stars in this matchup.

Jalen Hurts was stopped at the goal line against the Washington COmmanders when trying to sneak it in, and you know that the Eagles will work on that play all week long. Hurts is going to find the end zone on Sunday to help the Eagles against their rivals.

Jalen Hurts Anytime Touchdown Scorer

Best Team Prop

The Arizona Cardinals are set to visit the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, and the home team is an eight-point betting favorite. These are two teams that are very tough to figure out this season, but this should be a dominant performance on Sunday.

Looking at team props is one way to make Week 9 NFL picks, and this matchup is goign to be all about the Browns. Bet on Cleveland to win both halves on Sunday and get a solid payout for this matchup.

Cleveland Browns to Win Both Halves (+180)

Miami Dolphins vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Two of the best teams in the league will meet up in Germany this weekend as the Miami Dolphins will take on the Kansas City Chiefs. Both of these teams will be trying to win the game on offense, but there will be some defense played as well.

Kansas City just doesn’t have as many weapons as Miami this season, and this will be a big revenge game for Tyreek Hill. Don’t be surprised to see the Dolphins put up a ton of points in this game, as they will pull off the slight upset.

Miami Dolphins +125

Seattle Seahawks vs. Baltimore Ravens

The Seattle Seahawks are one of the most surprising teams in the league this season at 5-2, but they will have a test this weekend.. Seattle will be on the road in Baltimore for a big matchup with the Ravens in this game, and the betting spread is a bit wider than you might expect.

The Seahawks still have to prove that they can get some stops, and their rushing defense will be tested in this game. Look for the Ravens to take control of this matchup as they are going to cruise to a big win.

Baltimore Ravens -5.5

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Houston Texans

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to visit the Houston Texans this weekend for a matchup of 3-4 teams. Houston was looking like a team that was going to be a playoff contender this season, but then the Texans went and lost to the Carolina Panthers.

Tampa Bay is going to have to score some points in this game, but their defense has the chance to be dominant. Houston still has some growing pains that they need to get over, and they are going to struggle in this matchup as Tampa Bay pulls off the upset.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers +130

Los Angeles Rams vs. Green Bay Packers

It’s been a tough season for the Los Angeles Rams and Green Bay Packers this season, especially of late. The Packers are actually favored over Los Angeles in Week 9, and that betting spread doesn’t exactly make a ton of sense.

Both teams have struggled to find the end zone of late, but the Rams should have a big night on offense in this game. It’s going to take at least 21 points to win this close game, and going with the over is the way to go.

Over 39.5 Points

New York Giants vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Two of the worst offensive teams in the league are set to battle it out on Sunday as the New York Giants visit the Las Vegas Raiders. 14 points might be enough to win this game, but the over/under line is surprisingly set at 38.0 total points.

The Giants should actually find a way to win this game as they have more weapons, and that defense will dictate this game as well. Las Vegas has been an absolute mess on offense over the last few weeks, and that trend will continue in this game.
