Week 8 NFL Picks

Week 8 NFL Picks

We have a full 16-game slate on the Week 8 NFL schedule. Things get going in Orchard Park on Thursday Night Football when the Bills host the Buccaneers. With a full schedule, bettors will have plenty to choose from for their Week 8 NFL picks.

Sunday features 11 games in the early window. Four late afternoon games are set to kick off, with 6 of the 8 teams playing, looking like they could push for the playoffs. Cleveland at Seattle & Cincinnati at San Francisco, to name a couple. As well, there’s a Week 6 rematch – where the Chiefs won 18-9 –  when KC travels to Mile High to play the Broncos.

Motor City is the site of Monday Night Football, and our Week 8 NFL picks for MNF are sure to keep winning! Our MNF picks have been absolutely crushing. We’ll get to enjoy two hard-nosed football teams when the Lions welcome the Raiders to the Dome.

Two potential playoff teams that have disappointed will play in the battle of New York. The Giants are the home team against the Jets from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

We mentioned early that our Week 8 NFL picks will most likely include some playoff-bound teams. NFL Week 8 features a matchup that some might have thought was this year’s potential Super Bowl. The Bengals travel to the Bay to play the 49ers, where the 49ers are currently just a 1-point favorite.

The Bills are a 10 to 11-point favorite on Thursday. With how TNF games have been going so far in the 2023 NFL season, that’s a lot of points to cover. The Cowboys are giving 7 to the Rams, another interesting Week 8 betting line.

NFL Week 8 Point Spreads Are Mixed

Week 8 NFL picks could be tough for the average recreational bettor. When we get deeper into the football season, oddsmakers also gain more information. With this information, point spreads get sharper. Over/Under land closer to the line. That’s where our experts come into play.

We already spoke about the two lines above: Bills -10 & Cowboys -7. However, 4 other games have spreads of 5 points or greater. On the flip side of that, 7 games have spreads of 2-points or less, including Vikings/Packers PK.

Although we have all 32 teams playing in Week 8, only 4 games are divisional games. It’s an interesting schedule for our Week 8 NFL picks. TB at Buffalo is playing in only their 5th meeting since 2009, while Atlanta at Tennessee, Cleveland at Seattle, Baltimore at Arizona, Chicago at LA Chargers, and Las Vegas at Detroit are all just their 5th since 2007.

Some other Week 8 betting lines to keep an eye on are:

  • Patriots @ Dolphins (-4)
  • Falcons @ Titans (-1)
  • Jets @ Giants (-1.5 to -2.5)
  • Saints (-1.5) @ Colts
  • Jaguars @ Steelers (-1)
  • Chiefs (-3.5) @ Broncos
  • Ravens (-6) @ Cardinals

Best Pick ATS

There are a number of games that stand out when making Week 8 NFL picks against the spread, but there is one game that you have to bet on. Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots are 9.5-point underdogs in Miami, and that line just doesn’t feel right at all.

New England just stunned the Buffalo Bills in Week 7, and you know that the Patriots are going to have a good game plan in this game. Take the 9.5 points and back the Patriots on Sunday as they keep it close with the Dolphins.

New England Patriots +9.5

Best Moneyline Pick

Finding value is key when making Week 8 NFL picks, and you will have that opportunity in Carolina this weekend. The winless Panthers host the surprising Texans, and this might be the best chance for Carolina to win a game.

Even though the Panthers have really struggled this season, quarterback Bryce Young is good enough to lead his team to a win at some point. The betting spread in this game is small, and it will be the Panthers that move to 1-6 on the year with a win.

Carolina Panthers +130

Best Total Pick

The Atlanta Falcons and Tennessee Titans are set to battle in Week 8, and these are two teams that don’t do a ton of scoring. Both teams will be looking to run the football a ton, and the clock is going to be running most of this game.

Even though the total line is set at just 36.5 points in Week 8, you are going to see these two teams going under that total. Twenty points will be enough to win this game, but they might not even get there.

Under 36.5

Best Player Prop

The Cincinnati Bengals visit the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8, and this is suddenly a massive game on the schedule. Cincinnati is trying to climb back into the race, and they are facing a 49ers team that is heading in the wrong direction.

You are going to want to look at a player prop betting option for this game, and it comes from the 49ers running back. All Christian McCaffrey does is score touchdowns, and you need to back him to find the end zone yet again this weekend.

Christian McCaffrey Any Time Touchdown Scorer

Best Team Prop

The Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8, and this should be an interesting matchup. Jacksonville is red-hot heading into this matchup, but Pittsburgh is a team that is a bit underrated at this point of the year.

The Steelers have been getting the job done on defense, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t be a great offensive team. Don’t expect to see a huge night for the Steelers, but they are going to be good enough to score at least 20 points in this matchup.

Pittsburgh Steelers Over 19.5 Total Points (-122)

New York Jets vs. New York Giants

Rivals in New York are set to battle it out this weekend as the Jets and Giants will square off in their home stadium. The New York Jets come into this game as a slim three-point betting favorite, and they also have a ton of momentum.

This Giants team is going nowhere fast, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t show up and battle in this game. They are not going to have what it takes to win, but it would be wise to think of them as a contender in this one.

New York Jets Moneyline (-125)

Atlanta Falcons vs. Tennessee Titans

This game will be another opportunity to find some value when making Week 8 NFL picks, as the Titans are underdogs at home. Atlanta is coming into this game in first place in the NFC South, but they still have some serious flaws.

The Tennessee Titans still have time to turn their season around, and they will be looking to ride Derrick Henry in this game. You are going to see a great game in this matchup, and the Titans will have a late score to win in this one.

Tennessee Titans +115

Los Angeles Rams vs. Dallas Cowboys

The Los Angeles Rams visit the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8, and both teams need to make a statement in this one. Los Angeles appears to be a team heading in the wrong direction, while Dallas has the ability to be great.

The Cowboys are going to be setting a tone early in this game, and that is going to hit the Rams before they are able to settle in. Dallas isn’t going to blow Los Angeles out in Week 8, but they are going to be in control the entire year.

Dallas Cowboys Halftime/Fulltime Winner

Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers

It appears as if the Detroit Lions are going to run away with the NFC North this season, but the Minnesota Vikings are trying to catch up. Minnesota has won two straight games, but now they are heading to Green Bay as a one-point underdog.

It’s going to be hard to make a decision on this game, as each team has struggled to really take off. You can count on Jordan Love to play better in this one, and the Packers QB will be able to have some success against that Vikings defense.

Jordan Love Over 1.5 Touchdown Passes

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos

AFC West rivals will meet up in Denver as the Broncos will host the Kansas City Chiefs. The spread for this game is much larger than you might expect, but these are two teams that aren’t really close when it comes to talent.

Kansas City just continues to put up points on offense, and they are going to have a field day in this matchup. Denver hasn’t been able to stop anyone all season long, and that trend is going to continue in Week 8.

Kansas City Chiefs -8.0
