Week 12 NCAA Football Picks

Week 12 NCAA Football Picks

At this point in the season, the CFP rankings have been out for a while and most teams have just three games remaining in their regular seasons. It’s getting closer to Thanksgiving and a ton of rivalry games. There’s still a lot of college football left to be played, which means there are plenty of Week 12 NCAA football picks to make.

Week 12 NCAA football picks start early with three MAC games on Tuesday night and two more on Wednesday night. There are games on Thursday and Friday night as well, carrying us all the way into Saturday’s big slate of conference matchups. Being this late in the season, several of these Week 12 matchups will have a bearing on their respective conference races.

Conference Races Heating Up in Week 12

Two-time defending national champion Georgia is on track to earn another SEC East title. It will have its hands full in Week 12 with a ranked Tennessee team. The Vols battled the Bulldogs last year but ended up on the wrong side of a 27-13 defeat. This year’s game is in Knoxville and that could make a difference. This game is sure to be among the top Week 12 NCAA football picks.

Washington will also have another hurdle to get over when the Huskies face Oregon State. The Beavers have been on the up-and-up since going 10-3 last year in head coach Jonathan Smith’s fifth season. Washington QB Michael Penix Jr. has been among the Heisman Trophy contenders all season.

We’ll make sure you know our hottest handicappers before you make your Week 12 NCAA football picks.

Best Pick ATS

The Michigan Wolverines just refuse to give up many points this season, and they also have an offense that is now running over opponents. Michigan is on the road at Maryland on Saturday, and the visitors are pretty big 20.5-point betting favorites.

The Wolverines are coming into this game with a perfect 10-0 record this season, and they aren’t going to want to mess around in this one. Maryland has been giving up a ton of points, and they aren’t going to be able to keep this game close.

Michigan Wolverines -20.5

Best Moneyline Pick

Finding value when making Week 12 NCAA football picks is a big key, and you are going to get some value in the Big Ten Conference. The Illinois Fighting Illini are set to visit the Iowa Hawkeyes and this is a very important game in the Big Ten West Division.

Illinois is coming into this game with a ton of momentum after picking up a pair of crazy comeback wins. Iowa is still leading the Big Ten Conference West at 8-2, but their lack of offense is going to cost them in this one.

Illinois Fighting Illini +135

Best Total Pick

The Oklahoma Sooners head to BYU on Saturday for a matchup with the Cougars, and this game is not expected to be close. You can still find some good week 12 NCAA football picks from this game, but you are going to want to focus on the point total.

Oklahoma continues to be one of the best offensive teams in the country this season, and they are facing a BYU team that can’t get any stops. The Sooners might get to 45 points on their own, as these two teams are combining for 58 points at least.

Oklahoma Sooners/BYU Cougars Over 57.5

Best Player Prop

The LSU Tigers are stepping out of the SEC this weekend to host the Georgia State Panthers in a game in which they should dominate. Not only will LSU have a massive game in this one, but quarterback Jayden Daniels is going to shine bright as well.

Daniels comes into this game with video game numbers on the year, and he continues to run through opposing defenses. Not only will Georgia State get torched through the air in this game, but Daniels is also going to run for over 150 yards.

Jayden Daniels Over 150+ Rushing Yards

Best Team Prop

The Missouri Tigers have been a pleasant surprise this season at 8-2 on the year, and they are coming home to host the Florida Gators on Saturday. Missouri has won three of their last four games and they just scored 36 points against Florida in their most recent game.

The Gators have had another tough season at 5-5 on the year, and that defense has allowed at least 39 points in four straight games. Don’t expect much more defense from Florida in this game as Missouri will score at least 35+ points in this one.

Missouri Tigers Over 35+ Points

Washington Huskies vs. Oregon State Beavers

There are more week 12 NCAA football picks to make, including some that come with a ton of value. The Washington Huskies visit the Oregon State Beavers in a big Pac-12 Conference matchup, and the number five ranked team in the country is an underdog.

Oregon State has had a great season at 8-2 on the year, but it’s hard to see that defense coming up with the stops needed to win this game. Washington will continue to ride Michael Penix Jr. in this game as he is going to light up the scoreboard.

Washington Huskies +110

Louisville Cardinals vs. Miami Hurricanes

The Louisville Cardinals are set to visit the Miami Hurricanes on Saturday for a big matchup between ACC rivals. Louisville is coming into this game with a record of 9-1, and they are facing a Miami team that is struggling in a big way.

The Hurricanes have been a bad offensive team over the last few weeks, and that is going to come back to haunt them in this one. Louisville is going to light up the scoreboard yet again as the Cardinals will move to 10-1 on the year.

Louisville Cardinals -1.5

Utah Utes vs. Arizona Wildcats

The Utah Utes visit the Arizona Wildcats in a huge Pac-12 Conference matchup on Saturday, and the betting odds for this game are tight. Instead of focusing on the spread, it’s going to be a better option to check out the over/under for this game.

Utah has been wanting to score points this season, and they have enough talent to get to the end zone in a hurry. Arizona won’t have the defense that can shut down the Utes, but they do have enough offensive talent to match them.

Utah Utes/Arizona Cardinals Over 44.5

Georgia Bulldogs vs. Tennessee Volunteers

The Tennessee Volunteers are going to be trying to pull off a huge upset this weekend as they host the undefeated Georgia Bulldogs. Tennessee was just blown out in Week 11 though by Missouri, and they have really struggled against great teams this season.

Georgia just continues to find ways to blow out opponents, and the Bulldogs should eventually get that done in this matchup as well. The Volunteers can keep this game close for a half, but ultimately the Bulldogs win big to cover the spread.

Georgia Bulldogs -10.0

Minnesota Golden Gophers vs. Ohio State Buckeyes

The Minnesota Golden Gophers visit the Ohio State Buckeyes this weekend, and the home team is a big betting favorite as expected. Minnesota has been struggling in a big way of late, and that defense is going to have some serious issues in this game.

Marvin Harrison Jr. continues to put up ridiculous numbers for Ohio State, and he is going to find some space to operate in this game. Bet on Harrison to find the end zone at least two times in this game as it helps Ohio State have another big performance.

  • Marvin Harrison Jr. 2+ Touchdowns Scored

Week 12 NCAA Football Picks – Huge Matchups in ACC, SEC, Big Ten

These final weeks of the season are all important. Week 12 offers up some key matchups in the ACC, SEC, and Big Ten. Louisville is at Miami and both teams are still within striking distance of a berth in the conference title game. Clemson desperately needs a win over North Carolina, which spent most of the season ranked in the Top 25.

A couple of SEC teams are playing non-conference games, but we already mentioned the Georgia-Tennessee matchup. That will likely determine the SEC East representative in the conference championship game. Michigan is at Maryland and Ohio State hosts Minnesota. Both teams need wins to stay on track for the season-ending showdown, which will determine the East representative in the Big Ten championship game.

Week 12 NCAA Football Picks FAQs

How many games do college football teams play in a season?

College can play a maximum of 12 games each regular season. That does not include a conference championship game if a team qualifies. Teams that travel to Hawaii to play the Rainbow Warriors are also granted a 13th game if they desire. That rule was instituted to make up for the lengthy travel to Hawaii. The maximum number of games an FBS school could play is 16. They could play 13 games in the regular season (if they play at Hawaii), play in their conference championship game, and then play in both the CFP semifinals and the CFP national championship.

Which state has the most FBS teams?

Everything is bigger in Texas, including football. It should come as no surprise that there are 12 FBS programs in the state. What’s surprising is No. 2. That would be Ohio with eight FBS teams. That is one more than California, Florida, and North Carolina. Our Week 12 NCAA football picks will feature all of those states and more.

How can parlay college football bets?

Parlay bets are a combination of bets grouped and graded as one single wager. It takes at least two college football bets to put together a parlay. Let’s say your Week 12 NCAA football picks include Penn State and Tennessee, both on the moneyline. The moneyline odds aren’t the greatest on the games individually, but when you parlay the two together you find you get plus-money odds. That’s the beauty of a parlay – the higher odds. They are harder to win, but they could be a huge boost to your Week 12 NCAA football picks.
