What are the latest Serie A and La Liga betting trends? It’s a fairly quiet time around the world of soccer right now due to the Christmas period. However, some leagues across Europe have been busier than others.

Games from the Italian and Spanish top flight are on this weekend. That’s why we’re focusing on Serie A and La Liga betting trends this week. Welcome back to Sports Hub’s European Soccer Weekly Report where I will be providing you with the latest updates.

The Premier League still has many games across the calendar over Christmas and New Year so I will be providing you with a quick summary of the latest from England. However, Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga played their final games of 2023 last week so be sure to take a look at the recap below. Those leagues will return on January 12th, 2024.

I have also provided you with a review of the most recent Serie A and La Liga results from last week. Serie A returns this weekend, whilst you will have to wait a little longer for Spanish top-flight matches that are taking part in the New Year. Nevertheless, be sure to take a look at the most recent Serie A and La Liga betting trends below.

European Soccer Weekly Report – La Liga Betting Trends

As previously stated, Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga are on break until January 12th, 2024. Therefore, it only makes sense to investigate Serie A and La Liga betting trends for now since they are the two leagues that still have games on display in the near future. Hopefully, the information here can help you with your picks this weekend and next week.

So, what are the latest Serie A and La Liga betting trends? Well, goals have been going in at a steady rate over the last round of games. Just 30% of Serie A matches during Round 17 had over 2.5 goals, whilst La Liga saw 50% of their games have over 2.5 goals.

Last week, I stated that bettors should look to La Liga Unders. That’s because only 30% of matches during Round 17 saw over 2.5 goals. Round 16 also saw just 30% of its games have over 2.5 goals. That percentage slightly increased during Round 18 (50%) but the most recent La Liga betting trends indicate that you should still be sticking with the under. However, always take a look at each matchup individually before making your pick.

Euro Soccer Betting Trends – Serie A Totals Update

Recently, I also believed that Serie A Overs could be a good trend to ride. That’s because Round 14 saw 70% of Serie A matches have over 2.5 goals, whilst Round 13 had 60%. How has this trend changed over the last few weeks?

Round 15 saw the Overs decrease as just 40% of Italian top-flight matches saw over 2.5 goals. This went back up to 50% during Round 16, whilst Round 17 saw another dip down to 30%. Clearly, there isn’t a consistent league trend that we could potentially focus on.

My suggestion is that you take a look at each team’s individual total percentages over the season thus far. For example, teams such as Napoli, Salernitana, Sassuolo, and Frosinone have the highest over 2.5 goals ratio in the league (65%).

Meanwhile, the likes of Monza, Torino, Empoli, and Lazio have the lowest percentage in the division (29%). As always, you should analyze each individual matchup before placing your bets. That can be examined further, too, by looking at Home and Away totals statistics.
