NHL Props Make Hockey Even More Exciting

Updated:

As if hockey wasn’t as exciting enough, bettors can add even more thrill by betting on NHL props. There are a number of NHL props bets from which to choose. Bettors can opt for team props like Both Teams to Score or Shots on Goal. These are essentially Over/Under bets where bettors wager on a total.

For example, you can bet on NHL props like Shots on Goal or Total Goals Scored by an NHL team. Take the Boston-Florida playoff series as an example. If the Bruins Shots on Goal prop was set at 28.5, for example, anyone who bet the Under would have cashed a winning NHL props bet. Boston managed just 15 shots for the game.

NHL props like Both Teams to Score or Total Goals are popular among bettors.

NHL props include other team bets like team totals. In tonight’s Florida-Boston Game 3 matchup, the Totals Goals prop is set at 2.5 for both teams. The Over 2.5 is priced at -128 afor Boston and at -156 for Florida. If either team scores three goals, then the Over would cash a winning ticket.

NHL Props – Player Props More Popular

Just like the other major sports, NHL props for individual players are extremely popular. You can bet on any player’s total goals, assists, and points. Each of those individual NHL props can also be broken down by period, which creates even more opportunities.

For example, you can bet on Florida’s Matthew Tkachuk to go Over or Under 3.5 shots on goal tonight. You can also bet on Tkachuk to have 1+ shot, 2+ shots, 3+ shots, etc. for the game. In addition, you can wager on Tkachuk to have a certain number of shots in any of the three periods.

Here are Tkachuk’s NHL props for 1st period shots on goal.

  • 1st Period 1+ Shots on Goal Matthew Tkachuk -270
  • 1st Period 2+ Shots on Goal Matthew Tkachuk +175
  • 1st Period 3+ Shots on Goal Matthew Tkachuk +560

Matthew Tkachuk is Florida’s leading scorer in the postseason with 10 points.

You can see that the odds increase with each additional goal. There are tons of other NHL props for players. You can wager on a player scoring a goal, getting an assist, or simply scoring a point. And, yes, there are NHL props for goalies too. These include the Over/Under on the number of saves.

Daily Leaderboard Recap

Another day, more wins for the good guys. The entire daily leaderboard is full of Sports Hub experts, who once again ruled the day. One of the great things about Sports Hub is the sheer number of great handicappers we have. We haven’t seen Neal Harris’ name in quite some time, but yesterday he was the top dog.

In fact, Neal is also on the 3-day leaderboard and, like many of our handicappers, he’s also on another 7-day leaderboard. Guys like James Anderson, Sal Lombardi, and Kyle Parker also made yesterday’s Top 5 and each has been or is currently among the leaders on at least one other leaderboard.

Let’s take a look at yesterday’s Top 5.

  • Neal: As mentioned, Neal Harris was the No. 1 handicapper yesterday with a perfect 3-0 record. He earned $300 in profits and Neal is now second on the 3-day leaderboard ($515).
  • James: James Anderson pulled in at No. 2 yesterday, hitting on 4 of his 5 picks. He collected $290 in profits and he already has two NBA picks in the system for tonight’s games.
  • Sal: Uncle Sal Lombardi has been one of our most consistent handicappers. Yesterday, Sal went 6-3 on nine picks and added $250 to his bankroll. You might want to think about riding Sal tonight. He’s got two NHL picks in the system. Are they NHL props? You’ll have to check and see for yourself.

Over the last seven days, our Free Picks are 13-5 and have added $663 in profits. Do we have any free picks for NHL props? You’ll have to check the database.

Trout Out, Skenes In

If you’re an MLB fan, you probably know Mike Trout. There is some news concerning Trout that will affect him and the Los Angeles Angels this season. It will surely affect the Angels’ sabermetrics for 2024.

Many of you probably don’t know Paul Skenes. He’s one of the top MLB pitching prospects in the minors right now. There is some news about Skenes and his major league team.

Let’s see today’s trending sports news.

  • Trout opts for surgery: Angels OF Mike Trout will undergo surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. Trout could have held off on the surgery and played in the DH role the rest of the season. Instead, he’ll miss roughly four to eight weeks while he recovers and rehabs the knee. Trout will return this season. It’s just not clear when. At the time of the injury, Trout was leading the majors in homers with 10.
  • Straight gas: That’s what Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes throws. The 6-foot-6, 235-pound Skenes is regarded as the best pitching prospect in the minors. Pittburgh is calling Skenes, 21, up to the majors after he pitched 27.1 innings in Triple-A, allowed three earned runs, and struck out 45.
  • College dingers: The 2024 college baseball season continues and Georgia’s Charlie Condon is rewriting the record books. Condon hit his 34th home run last night as Georgia beat South Carolina 14-10. It was Condon’s eight straight game with a homer. Condon’s record does come with an asterisk. It’s the most home runs since the NCAA changed to composite bats in 2011. Pete Incaviglia holds the all-time record with 48, which he hit in 1985.
