Rattler’s late heroics help Saints salvage 17–17 tie with Jaguars

Spencer Rattler made the most of his second-half audition, driving the Saints 75 yards and zipping a 20-yard touchdown to Dante Pettis before keeping the ball on the two-point conversion with :21 left to secure a 17–17 preseason draw with the Jaguars. Rattler went 18-of-24 for 199 yards with a TD and a pick after Tyler Shough handled the first half. Pettis finished with 57 yards, while Mason Tipton paced New Orleans with 100 receiving yards as the Saints moved to 0-1-1.

Jacksonville (0-1-1) got two crisp series from Trevor Lawrence — 8-of-10, 76 yards and a 7-yard TD to Parker Washington — then turned it over to the depth chart. Rookie Bhayshul Tuten flashed with 35 rushing yards and a score, but the Jaguars’ backups couldn’t put it away as New Orleans closed with 14 unanswered after halftime.
