NBA roundup: Hornets lead by as many as 57 points, crush Jazz

Saturday’s slate was packed with statement wins, breakout scoring nights, and surprising late-game swings. Charlotte demolished Utah with one of the largest blowouts in franchise history. The Clippers came back from 14 down in the fourth to stun Detroit. Cleveland’s offense stayed red-hot, and Indiana never trailed in a dominant win over Miami. For bettors, it was a night where three-point shooting, depth scoring, and fourth-quarter defense dictated the edge.

Hornets vs Jazz Recap: Hornets win 150–95

Charlotte delivered an offensive clinic, hitting 24 three-pointers and shooting 41% from beyond the arc. LaMelo Ball scored 17 and hit five threes, but it was a full-team effort with nine players scoring in double figures.
Tre Mann led the way with 20 points, while Brandon Miller added 18 and Miles Bridges, Collin Sexton chipped in 15 apiece. The Hornets never trailed and built their lead up to 57 in the second half, recording the second-largest win margin in team history.

Utah rested leading scorer Lauri Markkanen and had no answer defensively. Brice Sensabaugh led the Jazz with 26 points, but the team was out-rebounded, out-shot, and overmatched wire-to-wire.

Heat vs Pacers Recap: Pacers win 123–99

Andrew Nembhard scored 29 and led a full-blown scoring spread as Indiana kept the momentum from their recent win and made it two in a row. Micah Potter had 14, Jarace Walker added 13, and the Pacers had seven players hit double figures.
The Pacers were in control from the tip, shooting 51% and racking up 30 assists. Defensively, they held Miami to just 4-of-30 from beyond the arc (13.3%) and dominated transition play.

Tyler Herro led the Heat with 21 points, but Miami looked flat after the extended layoff and has now dropped three of its last four.

Timberwolves vs Cavaliers Recap: Cavaliers win 146–134

Donovan Mitchell’s 28-point, 8-assist night headlined a historic offensive outing for Cleveland, which put up its fourth-highest regulation point total in franchise history.
Five Cavaliers scored 20+, including big nights from Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen. The Cavs shot efficiently, moved the ball, and buried Minnesota with second-chance scoring and depth.

The Timberwolves had won four straight before running into Cleveland’s wave of offense. Anthony Edwards and Naz Reid both scored 25, but defensive lapses in the third quarter turned the game.

Mavericks vs Bulls Recap: Bulls win 125–107

Coby White scored 22 and Ayo Dosunmu added 20 as Chicago ended its three-game losing streak with a wire-to-wire win at home. Nikola Vucevic had a double-double (15 pts, 12 reb), and seven Bulls reached double digits.
Chicago shot 51.5% and dominated on the glass (52–42). They totaled 31 assists and found consistent offense throughout. Dallas, meanwhile, shot under 43% and never made a serious push after halftime.

Ryan Nembhard led Dallas with 16 points, but the Mavericks have now lost six of their last eight.

Clippers vs Pistons Recap: Clippers win 98–92

Kawhi Leonard delivered 26 points and a fourth-quarter push to lead L.A. back from 14 down. John Collins filled the stat sheet with 25 points, seven rebounds, five steals, and four blocks.
The Clippers finished with a 30–16 edge in the final 12 minutes. James Harden added 19 points and seven assists as L.A. found enough offense late to escape against a Pistons squad that couldn’t close.

Detroit got 20 points from Duncan Robinson, but he was shut out in the second half. Ronald Holland and Daniss Jenkins added some scoring, but turnovers and cold shooting sealed the result.

Spurs vs Celtics Recap: Spurs win 100–95

Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox each scored 21 as San Antonio pulled off a road win in Boston. Wemby added six rebounds and three blocks in just 26 minutes.
The game was tied with under two minutes to go, but the Spurs made plays down the stretch — finishing on a 7–2 run. Fox hit key midrange jumpers and San Antonio limited Boston’s late-game possessions.

Jaylen Brown (27) and Derrick White (29) carried the Celtics, but the team attempted just four free throws all night and couldn’t generate rim pressure when it mattered.
