Corrections

Last updated: May 2026

When we get something wrong, we correct it. This page explains the kinds of corrections we make, where they appear, and how to report an error to our editorial team.

Our correction policy

We distinguish between three kinds of changes: β€’ Substantive corrections β€” when a fact, number, name, date, or statement materially changes. These are marked with a dated correction line at the bottom of the affected article. β€’ Clarifications β€” when wording could mislead a reasonable reader, even if not strictly wrong. Marked with a dated clarification line. β€’ Minor edits β€” typos, grammar, broken links. Fixed silently.

Picks and graded outcomes

Pick results (win, loss, push, void) are graded against the final official outcome of the event. If a result was graded incorrectly, we update the pick's grade and adjust the affected handicapper's record. The original pick text and timestamp are preserved.

How corrections are marked

A correction line is added at the foot of the article and reads, for example: "Correction (May 25, 2026): An earlier version of this article misstated the pitcher's strikeout total. The correct figure is 13." The original text is replaced inline, not struck through.

How to report an error

If you spot an error, contact us via the Contact form (subject: Feedback). Please include the URL, the specific claim or number, and a source we can verify against. We aim to respond within two business days. Substantiated corrections are typically published within the same day.

Removing content

We do not unpublish articles to hide mistakes β€” corrections are made openly, on the original URL. Exceptional removals (legal, safety, privacy) follow a separate process; see the Privacy and Terms pages.
