There is also our picks database which has almost 100 picks for rivalry week games already. Later on, we’ll take a look at our top handicappers from yesterday. Many of them were once again spot on with their college football picks. There’s no better way to finish the college football regular season than with a bunch of rivalry week wins!

Rivalry Week Best Games

The annual Egg Bowl was played on Thanksgiving night. Ole Miss continued its recent dominance in the series with a 17-7 win. Mississippi State, now 5-7, led 7-3 until late in the third quarter. That’s what makes these rivalry week games great. The passion of the teams involved can make anything happen.

Today, we kick it all off with The Game, aka Ohio State at Michigan. It has been one of college football’s most intense rivalries and the last few years, it has taken on a new meaning. Both teams have been near the top of the College Football Playoff rankings for the last few seasons. Heading into today’s game, Ohio State is ranked No. 2 and Michigan No. 3. Both teams are unbeaten at 11-0 and the winner will win the Big Ten East Division and earn a trip to the conference championship game next weekend.

The Iron Bowl is one of the great CFB rivalries

While Ohio State-Michigan is probably the biggest rivalry week game, there are plenty of others. The annual Iron Bowl pits Alabama against Auburn in a late afternoon game today. The Apple Cup features No. 4 Washington playing at home against rival Washington State. Tonight, you can finish off rivalry week with the Sunshine Showdown (Florida-Florida State) or Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate (Georgia-Georgia Tech).

Rivalry Week Trophies

What’s also great about rivalry week is the number of games featuring a coveted trophy. No matter the team records, the one goal every team has is to win its rivalry week game. A team can have a losing season, but to end it with a win over their fiercest rival can make a bad season great.

Neither Indiana nor Purdue (both 3-8) have had a great season. One of them will make it great with a win today. That rivalry week win means they will control the Old Oaken Bucket for a year. It’s one of the oldest trophies in a college football game. There are a number of others too.

Kentucky and Louisville will play for the Governor’s Cup. The Land of Lincoln Trophy is on the line in the Illinois-Northwestern matchup today. The Illini (5-6) can also qualify for a bowl with a victory. The Hardee’s Trophy will be awarded tonight to the Clemson-South Carolina winner and the Oil Can is up for grabs in the Fresno State-San Diego State game late tonight.

With all of these trophy games during rivalry week, the big question for bettors is how to pick them? That’s where SportsHub comes into play.

Big Day at the Top of the Board

Our friends at Knup Sports had themselves a day yesterday, topping our leaderboard with winnings of $990. The next four spots in the daily top-5 went to Sports Hub expert handicappers. Many of them nailed their college football picks. With nearly 100 CFB picks in the database already, it would be worth your while to see who they are backing today.

Knup Sports was on fire yesterday!

Here’s a look at yesterday’s top cappers.

  • Huge day for Knup Sports: Knup Sports has been on one lately. Yesterday, they put in 30 picks and went 21-9 to earn $990. For those keeping score, Knup Sports is our 30-day leader, hitting 55.93 percent of their 413 picks (231-182). They are up $2131 for the last 30 days and they’ve got another slew of picks ready for today and Sunday.
  • Sports Hub experts go 4-0: A pair of our best cappers went 4-0 yesterday. William Taylor had the underdog Winnipeg Jets at +115 over the Florida Panthers which gave him a total of $415 in winnings yesterday. Robert Jones won all four of his CBB picks at -110 odds for a total of $400.
  • Our soccer guy: Geovanny Araya is one of our best soccer handicappers. Yesterday, he was at it again with a 2-0 record and $345 in winnings.
  • Rounding out the top-5: James Anderson hit all three of his picks and won $300 yesterday. He’s 6-2 over the last three days and he has picks in the system for today’s rivalry week college football games. I’d check them out.

It’s Rivalry Week!

Sure, there are other events in other sports today, but the one thing that will dominate the trending news and today’s schedule is rivalry week. It’s the best week of college football all season. It also kind of sucks too since it’s the last full week of college football until 2024.

Strap yourselves in for a great day. Here’s what’s trending.

  • The Game: It’s Ohio State-Michigan and there is so much on the line. Big Ten East, a berth in the conference championship game, maintaining an unbeaten record, CFP rankings. The hatred here is real and don’t forget, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh will not be on the sidelines. He’ll be serving the rest of his suspension.
  • Erling Haaland: He became the fastest player to score 50 goals in the Premier League yesterday when he scored for Manchester City in a 1-1 draw with Liverpool yesterday. Haaland has 18 goals in 20 appearances in all competitions this season.
  • Everything is bigger in Texas: Very quietly, the Texas Longhorns went 10-1 and will play for a Big 12 title next week. The Longhorns smoked Texas Tech 57-7 in yesterday’s rivalry week game to end their regular season. Remember, Texas has a win over Alabama this season and is ranked No. 7 in the CFP poll.
  • Call it a comeback: The New York Knicks trailed Miami by 21 points late in the third quarter of yesterday’s in-season tournament game. The Knicks closed the game with a 38-15 run and ended up winning 100-98. A win next Tuesday over Charlotte would give the Knicks a chance at advancing in the tournament.
  • Dolphins: Miami won the first-ever Black Friday NFL game yesterday, beating the Jets 34-13 in a game that was never really close. The game featured a 99-yard pick-six return by Miami’s Jevon Holland on the Jets’ Hail Mary attempt at the end of the first half. The touchdown gave Miami a 17-6 halftime lead.
