Black Friday NFL Football for Us Degens – November 24

It’s the perfect day for degenerate gamblers – Black Friday NFL is here. For the first time ever, there is professional football on the day after Thanksgiving. The league is taking a chance with a Black Friday NFL game on a day typically reserved for college football. There is just one game and it pits the AFC East-leading Miami Dolphins playing division rival the New York Jets.

Since 1978, the NFL has only played eight games on a Friday. That is mostly due to restrictions related to playing on Christmas. There is also the Sports Broadcasting Act which essentially eliminates Friday and Saturday night NFL games in September and October. The NFL is prohibited from broadcasting games if a high school or college game is being played within 75 miles of a station airing an NFL game. Since it’s November, the league was able to pull off its first Black Friday NFL broadcast.

Amazon Wanted Black Friday NFL Game

Amazon bought the rights to broadcast Thursday Night Football. The company approached the league about having a Black Friday NFL game. Black Friday is, of course, the day that kind of kicks off the holiday shopping season. For years, retailers have offered all kinds of deals on that day.

Amazon was the driving force behind a Black Friday NFL game

The idea for a Black Friday NFL game was simple. Have an NFL game to be aired on Amazon and the world’s largest retailer will offer all kinds of sales throughout the game. There will be on-screen sales throughout the Black Friday NFL game and numerous e-commerce deals. It’s football and shopping rolled into one.

Bettors Are Thankful

Since it is the Thanksgiving holiday, bettors are thankful for a Black Friday NFL game. They could care less about Amazon and its tactics. They are just grateful there is another NFL game to bet on. It’s the perfect week for an NFL bettor. Three games on Thursday, a Black Friday NFL game, 11 games on Sunday, and a Monday night game to wrap it up.

Today, bettors can wager on the Dolphins and Jets. Yes, Amazon had a hand in picking the teams for the Black Friday NFL game too. Actually, they picked New York because the city is the retail capital of the nation. It ended up being the Jets over the Giants because the G-Men play on Christmas Day this year. As a result, all the degens out there are ecstatic now that they have an extra game to make up some ground with their NFL betting this season.

Sports Hub Cappers Feast on Thanksgiving

It was another great day for Sports Hub handicappers. Gino Russo took the top spot with a couple NFL winners among his picks. He was one of five Sports Hub experts who went unbeaten yesterday and ended up in the top-6.

We had 25 cappers who put in NFL picks yesterday and went unbeaten. Who will have a Black Friday NFL pick today? Well, there are four picks for the game right now. That number will surely rise as you read this and as we get closer to game time.

Let’s see how our guys enjoyed Thanksgiving.

  • Leader of the pack: Gino Russo went 4-0 yesterday and won $400. Two of his picks were on NFL games. He’s having a pretty good month. Gino is up $1160 over the last 30 days.

  • Even better month: Sports Central is having an even better month than Gino. Yesterday, SC added to its 30-day total by going 5-1 and winning $390. Sports Central is up $2249 for the last 30 days.
  • SportsHub experts crush it: Four Sports Hub experts – Diego Garcia, Ashlee Kiddell, Jhon Walsh, and SWJ Sports – went 3-0 and won $300 yesterday. Scott at SWJ Sports crushed the Thanksgiving football games, hitting two spread picks and a total. He’s up $1945 over the last 30 days. Ashlee typically puts more soccer picks in, but yesterday he also nailed all three of his NFL picks.
  • Happy Thanksgiving: It was a Happy Thanksgiving as our top-37 cappers won at least $100 yesterday!

Pick-Six, Black Friday NFL & Rivalries

We’ve been making a big deal out of this Black Friday NFL game today. That’s because it is a big deal. If it goes over well, you can bet the league will continue doing it in the future. Black Friday NFL…it’ll be a new trend.

We’ve got pick-sixes and college football rivalries trending today.

  • Pick-six record: DaRon Bland intercepted a Washington pass yesterday and returned it 63 yards for a touchdown. It was just another score for Dallas in its 45-10 win over the Commanders, but it was something more for Bland. That pick-six gave Bland five pick-sixes for the season, a new NFL record. Bland has scored more defensive touchdowns than every single team in the NFL this season.

  • The Game: It’s coming tomorrow. No. 2 Ohio State faces No. 3 Michigan. It’s one of the greatest rivalries in all of sports. Michigan will not have head coach Jim Harbaugh, who will be serving the final game of his suspension related to the whole scouting fiasco. The Wolverines have won the last two games in the series.
  • McCaffrey: After his 17 consecutive games scoring a touchdown was interrupted, McCaffrey has started a new streak and yesterday he added to it with not one, but two touchdowns. His 11th rushing touchdown of the season is a new franchise record for San Francisco.
  • Civil War: No. 16 Oregon State travels to No. 6 Oregon in the annual rivalry game known as the Civil War. The Ducks can clinch a berth in the Pac-12 championship game with a win. They can also keep their hopes for a CFP berth alive. The Beavers, winners of two of the last three Civil Wars, would love nothing more than to play spoiler.
