BetFirm Review

BetFirm

BetFirm (BetFirm.com) launched in 2013 and has grown into one of the leading sports picks services in the world. Jack Jones runs the website, but there are 20+ handicappers selling predictions.

We’ll examine the entire website in our in-depth BetFirm review.

Pros

  • Multiple handicappers have had long-term success.
  • There are numerous free sports picks released everyday.
  • Sports betting guides to help new bettors succeed.

Cons

  • Several pages on the website are outdated and no longer updated.
  • There are no special deals or discounts for new members.
  • Lack of betting tools and features that competitors provide.

BetFirm Review

BetFirm gets straight to business. There aren’t a lot of betting tools available on the website. One of the tools they offer is live odds. You can see how many premium picks are available for a game from the live odds page. BetFirm also utilizes live odds from MetaBet for various futures betting markets.

Website visitors are able to place bets at legal sportsbooks using the live odds. We mention this because it’s a conflict of interest to promote sportsbooks while selling sports picks. The best sports picks services don’t have any outgoing links to online bookies, as the goal is to provide winning picks.

BetFirm handicappers have had long-term success. There’s a “Best Handicappers” page that reveals the historical results from the handicappers that are profitable. There’s a leaderboard for the current year and a leaderboard with all-time results. Multiple cappers have had a ROI exceeding 7%.

Like most competitors, there are daily free picks available. All of the free picks are grouped together and easily accessible from the “Free Sports Picks” page. Some of the free picks will have analysis, which will allow new bettors the ability to see the reasoning behind a play, such as stats, trends and insider info.

New bettors will also enjoy the betting guides available at BetFirm. There’s an “Article” section with all of the guides archived. There are guides explaining how to bet on sports, understanding odds and more.

BetFirm Features

There aren’t too many features or special sports picks packages at BetFirm. There are multiple ways to purchase sports picks packages. There are single picks available, daily packs and long-term packages (season-long and annual). You’ll get the best deals when purchasing long-term subscriptions.

BetFirm releases lots of free sports picks. The free plays aren’t tracked, though. If you want to get an idea of how the free picks perform, you’ll need to track the results yourself. It would be better if all of the picks were documented, as it makes it much easier for sports bettors to decide if they want to buy picks.

The leaderboards at BetFirm for premium sports picks are helpful, but they only show profitable cappers on them. Handicappers that are losing money aren’t listed on the leaderboards, which isn’t transparent.

There’s lots of sports betting content to digest at BetFirm. Not only are there betting guides, but there are lots of articles examining historical betting data and trends. For example, there are articles looking at the recent March Madness trends. There are also articles previewing all of the major sporting events.

Some of the content is outdated. There are multiple links on the homepage to pages that haven’t been updated, including “NFL Teasers of the Week” and “NFL Survivor Picks”. BetFirm should clean up the pages that aren’t updated and remove them from being listed on the homepage.

BetFirm doesn’t provide any betting systems to follow or allow you to purchase a picks package that has multiple handicappers. You need to choose the handicapper you want to follow and then purchase one of that capper’s packages. It’d be nice if you could group multiple cappers together at a discounted price.

BetFirm Pricing

All of the handicappers featured on BetFirm can set their own prices and packages. Single sports picks start at $20 and increase in price depending upon the capper releasing the play. If you click on “Expert Picks” at the top of the BetFirm website you’ll be able to quickly see all of the day’s premium picks.

Some of the daily packages include multiple picks. For example, there are “3-Play Power Packs” that are priced around $50-$60. It’s recommended to purchase single picks or daily packs initially until you’re able to analyze the results from the handicappers. All of the pick packages are guaranteed.

If you lose money on a picks package, you’ll be able to renew for free. For example, if you have a 7-day pass to Jack’s picks and he loses money, you’ll get the next seven days of Jack’s picks for free.

Longer-term subscriptions offer the best bang for your buck. Annual packages for a single handicapper cost around $1500. Season-long passes start around $300 and increase in cost depending upon the sport. Once you’ve found a capper you trust, the annual pass is the best deal to purchase.

Getting Started

You need to open an account before you can purchase sports picks. Once you have an account, you’ll be able to checkout in seconds. If you like one of the daily packages, simply click on the “Buy Now” button to launch the secure checkout page. You can buy as many packages as you’d like.

The free picks and betting articles are all available for free without an account. One way new users can become familiar with the cappers is through their profile pages. Profile pages have small bios, but more importantly, they list out the handicappers active streaks, free picks and yesterday’s results.

It would be better if the profile pages listed the historical results for the handicapper. Since they do show yesterday’s results, it’s easy to start tracking any of the BetFirm handicappers to analyze the results.

Conclusion

The BetFirm website is simple to navigate and access the information you need. It would be nice if they added new features once in a while, but the main thing is they do have profitable cappers releasing picks.

Some of the successful cappers at BetFirm are Bobby Conn, Mike Williams, Calvin King, Teddy Davis and Hunter Price. These guys are long-term winners with a positive ROI. However, while the results are good, sports picks packages aren’t cheap at BetFirm and you’ll need to be a big bettor to realize gains.

If you’re betting $100/game and paying an average of $30/pick, you’re going to lose regardless of how the cappers perform. However, long-term subscriptions are much better value.
