Insider’s Week 4 NCAA Football Picks

Here we are four weeks into the 2023 college football season. You should know by now that Sports Hub is the new one-stop resource for your Week 4 NCAA football picks, content, and more. What a week this will be! We kick it off with a little Sun Belt showdown and then get some Big Ten action on Friday night. Saturday is the big day, of course, and it won’t disappoint as there may be as many as five matchups between ranked opponents.
A spot in the ACC championship game is most likely on the line in a matchup of ranked opponents. Florida State travels to Death Valley to take on conference rival Clemson. The Tigers have won the last seven straight meetings. Clemson won last season 34-28. FSU has star QB Jordan Travis among 6 offensive starters and 8 returning defensive starters from a unit that finished fourth in the nation against the pass (165.4 ypg).
FSU-Clemson will draw a lot of attention in Week 4. There will be plenty of Week 4 NCAA football picks for that game here at Sports Hub. Another game that will garner a lot of attention is the matchup between Ohio State and Notre Dame. Both teams welcomed new starting quarterbacks this season and are off to strong starts in 2023. The outcome of both of these big games is likely to have a bearing on the College Football Playoff.

New Coaches Get Their First Big Tests
Every season, there is head coaching turnover in college football. There were 24 head coaching changes made after last season. That makes 123 over the past five years. A couple new guys will have their first big challenges in Week 4. Ryan Walters, former Illinois defensive coordinator, took over at Purdue. The Boilermakers will face a ranked Wisconsin team that was favored to win the Big Ten West Division.
The same is true for new Arizona State head coach Kenny Dillingham. The Sun Devils will host USC on Saturday. A win would make a statement for Dillingham and ASU. It would be a step in the right direction after 2022’s 3-9 campaign. Cincinnati could take a huge step in its first-ever Big 12 game against Oklahoma. The Bearcats, who played in the CFP in 2021, have a new coach in Scott Satterfield. Like Dillingham, Satterfield will take on the ranked Sooners on his home field in Week 4.

Best Pick ATS
The ACC race could be decided on Saturday as the Florida State Seminoles travel to Clemson to face the Tigers. Clemson has bounced back in a big way since suffering a season-opening loss to Duke in blowout fashion.
While the Tigers have looked better of late, this is still a team with a big question mark at the quarterback position. Florida State is going to ride on the shoulders of Jordan Travis in this game, and he is going to deliver yet again.

Best Moneyline Pick
The best game of the weekend will take place in South Bend as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are set to host the Ohio State Buckeyes. Both teams are ranked inside of the top-10, and both of them have been dominant on offense this season.
Ohio State has blown out three bad opponents so far this season, but they are going to face a tough challenge in this game. Look for Notre Dame to come to play on Saturday, as they are going to win this game outright as a small underdog.
Best Total Pick
The Big Ten Conference can make a case as being one of the best in the country this season, and there is a chance to make some Week 4 NCAA Football picks in this league. The Penn State Nittany Lions host the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday, and the home team is favored by more than two touchdowns.
Iowa is giving up less than 14 points per game this season, and they are playing a team that loves to run the football. Penn State won’t have any trouble scoring points in this game, but taking the under 41.5 points is the way to go in this one.
Best Player Prop
The Alabama Crimson Tide have a major issue at the quarterback position, and they simply have to go back with Jalen Milroe. Alabama at least has to find a quarterback who can move the ball with his legs, and Milroe is that player.
Alabama is hosting Ole Miss on Saturday, and this is going to be a game in which a ton of points are scored. Look for Milroe to have a big day of offense in this one, as he will throw for at least two touchdowns.

Best Team Prop
The North Carolina Tar Heels are set to travel to Pittsburgh on Saturday, and the Tar Heels are only seven-point favorites in this game. North Carolina has been explosive on offense so far this season, and they are facing a Pittsburgh team that struggles to score.
Pittsburgh just hasn’t shown that they can beat great teams, and North Carolina will jump on them early. Take the North Carolina Tar Heels to lead this game at halftime and then finish the deal.
Colorado Buffaloes vs. Oregon Ducks
The Colorado Buffaloes are the main attraction in the sport of college football, but now things will start to get tough. Colorado survived a big challenge from Colorado State, but they also lost superstar Travis Hunter in the process.
Oregon comes into this game with a perfect record as well, and that offense is for real. The Ducks are going to pull away from Colorado in the second half as they win and cover the spread.
UCLA Bruins vs. Utah Utes
The Pac-12 Conference is quietly one of the best in the country this season, and there are some big games coming. Utah hosts UCLA on Saturday in a matchup of Top 25 teams, and this is going to be a great game.
You can look at the spread in this one, as it is going to be extremely close. Utah is going to get a big boost from playing at home, though, and they will win this game outright.
Arkansas Razorbacks vs. LSU Tigers
The SEC doesn’t appear to be as dominant this season, but there are still some great teams in the league. LSU is one of those teams, and they are big 18.5-point betting favorites at home this weekend.
While this LSU team has a ton of trouble winning this game, Arkansas can keep this battle close. Take the points and back Arkansas in this SEC showdown.
Virginia Tech Hokies vs. Marshall Thundering Herd
Virginia Tech is having a tough season as they are just 1-2 through their first three games this season. The Hokies are going to be trying to turn things around as they travel to take on a 2-0 Marshall Thundering Herd team on Saturday.
Marshall might be 2-0, but they are finally facing an extremely tough test in this one. The Thundering Herd are not going to be able to cover the spread in this game, but they survive and pick up a win.
USC Trojans vs. Arizona State Sun Devils
USC and quarterback Caleb Williams appear to be unstoppable on offense this season, and they are looking to move to 4-0 with another win. USC is a massive favorite over Arizona State, but the Trojans are going to face a challenge on the road in this game.
A 34-point spread is simply too large for a conference game, even if USC will put up a ton of points in this game. Take the points and look for the Sun Devils to keep this game closer than most would expect.

What does fade the public mean?
Public bettors are bettors that are not betting for a living. They are not professionals and, most often, are not serious about it. They bet because they love the game and want to get in on the action. The problem is they are not very knowledgeable and they tend to bet based on bias. They bet on popular teams, star players, and Overs. When you fade the public, you are betting against them, which is a strong option many times. The public losing bets is why sportsbooks are in business. Public bettors would be wise to check out Week 4 NCAA football picks at Sports Hub.
