We have uncovered the best UFC Fight Night 237 predictions. This week’s event will be hosted at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City. The UFC hasn’t hosted a Mexico City event in over four years.

A Mexican fighter will compete in 11 of the 13 fights scheduled for UFC Fight Night 237.

Brandon Moreno (#1 Flyweight) will fight Brandon Royval (#3 Flyweight) in the main event. This will be the second time these two fight. Moreno won the first meeting by TKO back in 2020.

We’ll preview the action before I get into my UFC Fight Night 237 predictions.

UFC Fight Night 237 Preview

When: Saturday, February 24th 2024

Where: Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico

Time: 7:00 PM ET (Prelims) / 10:00 PM ET (Main Card)

Watch: ESPN+ (USA) / Sportsnet (Canada)

There are four ranked fighters on the main card. Yair Rodriguez (#3 Featherweight) will fight Brian Ortega (#4 Featherweight) in the co-main event. Raul Rosas Jr. will be ranked soon and he’s only 19 years old.

The UFC Fight Night 237 weigh-ins are complete. Most fighters made weight. Edgar Chairez is scheduled to fight Daniel Lacerda on the prelims, but both missed weight. Chairez was way overweight (five pounds) and Lacerda missed weight by one pound. We’re waiting to hear if they’ll still fight at catchweight.

We’ll now jump into my UFC Fight Night 237 predictions for Saturday.

Expert UFC Fight Night 237 Predictions

Keep in mind the high altitude (over 7,000 feet) this weekend, as it could present cardio problems. I’m not overly concerned about the high altitude, as this card features mostly smaller fighters.

There are some big favorites on the card. Yazmin Jauregui is the biggest favorite. After opening at -345 in early January, she has been bet up to -625. UFC bettors should take advantage of early lines when they want to target a fighter that’s likely to get public action, as they’ll get a much better price.

Here are my expert UFC Fight Night 237 predictions:

Brandon Moreno vs. Brandon Royval Prediction

  • Fight Odds: Moreno (-285) vs. Royval (+230)

Moreno (21-7-2) and Royval (15-7) are both coming off losses against Alexandre Pantoja, but Royval just fought a little over two months ago. He’s taking this fight on short notice, which typically doesn’t end well.

Moreno averages 3.80 SLpM, 3.40 SApM and 1.73 takedowns (TDs) per 15 minutes. Royval is averaging 3.80 SLpM and 3.05 SApM. Royval only has 40% takedown defense, but will Moreno look for TDs?

Yair Rodriguez vs. Brian Ortega Prediction

  • Fight Odds: Rodriguez (-145) vs. Ortega (+115)

Rodriguez (19-4-1) is coming off a TKO loss against Alexander Volkanovski. He also defeated Ortega (15-3-0-1) by TKO (shoulder injury) back in 2022. Ortega hasn’t been in the cage since that loss.

Ortega averages 4.19 SLpM, 6.66 SApM and 0.95 TDs per 15 minutes. Rodriguez averages 4.63 SLpM, 4.07 SApM and 0.73 TDs per 15 minutes. Rodriguez has solid striking and Ortega eats a lot of shots.

Both guys have been knocked out on multiple occasions, so this likely won’t go the distance.

Daniel Zellhuber vs. Francisco Prado Prediction

  • Fight Odds: Zellhuber (-265) vs. Prado (+215)

Zellhuber (14-1) and Prado (12-1) are both promising young fighters. Neither fighter has been stopped. Prado averages 3.46 SLpM and 3.83 SApM, while Zellhuber averages 5.26 SLpM and 4.79 SApM.

Zellhuber will have a huge 8” (77” vs. 69”) reach advantage. Zellhuber likes to maintain distance, while Prado likes to get in close to land big shots. Prado has six TKO/KO wins. I predict both fighters will be cautious early on in this one. There could be a late finish, but I like the over 2.5 rounds the most here.

I’m also adding Zellhuber to win by decision for my UFC Fight Night 237 predictions.

Best Bets: Zellhuber by Decision (+155) and Over 2.5 Rounds (-120)

Raul Rosas Jr. vs. Ricky Turcios Prediction

  • Fight Odds: Rosas Jr. (-220) vs. Turcios (+180)

Rosas Jr. (8-1) bounced back from his first defeat by knocking out Terrence Mitchell in 54 seconds. He’ll fight Turcios (12-3). Turcios is 2-1 in the UFC and all three of his fights have gone the distance.

I’m not too concerned about Turcios being able to finish this fight. Rosas Jr. averages 1.28 SLpM, 1.52 SApM and 3.57 TDs per 15 minutes. Turcios averages 5.08 SLpM and 3.70 SApM. Turcios has 45% TD defense. Rosas Jr. will get this fight on the mat. Will Rosas Jr. hunt for the finish or be too timid?

Manuel Torres vs. Chris Duncan Prediction

  • Fight Odds: Torres (-190) vs. Duncan (+150)

Torres (14-2) is 2-0 in the UFC, with two first-round knockout wins. Duncan (11-1) is also 2-0 in the UFC, but he has gone the distance in both of his fights. Duncan is tough, but he was knocked out in his lone loss. Duncan averages 5.08 SLpM, 3.74 SApM and 3.63 TDs per 15 minutes.

Torres has yet to be taken down. Torres averages 9.66 SLpM and 3.76 SApM. His striking has been lethal in recent fights. He seemingly has the whole package and he’s the younger fighter here. However, Torres could falter after the opening round. Duncan will fight at a relentless pace unless he’s knocked out.

Christian Quinonez vs. Raoni Barcelos Prediction

  • Fight Odds: Quinonez (+145) vs. Barcelos (-175)

Quinonez (18-4) was tapped out by Kyung Ho Kang last June and will be desperate to bounce back. He’s averaging 5.23 SLpM and 5.12 SApM. He’ll have a 3” reach advantage. Barcelos (17-5) started out 5-0 in the UFC, but he has gone 1-4 since. Six of his last seven fights have gone the distance, so he’s durable.

Barcelos averages 5.38 SLpM, 5.03 SApM and 1.80 TDs per 15 minutes. Quinonez is my top underdog for my UFC Fight Night 237 predictions this weekend. I can’t back Barcelos in his current form and age.

Best Bet: Quinonez ML (+145)

That wraps up my UFC Fight Night 237 predictions. I still might add to my card before the fights. You can find all of my UFC Fight Night 237 predictions under my profile (SWJ Sports).
