Michigan Stuns Maryland on Donaldson’s Last-Second Layup to Reach Big Ten Final

Tre Donaldson converted a driving layup with 0.4 seconds left, lifting No. 22 Michigan to an 81-80 win over No. 11 Maryland in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals in Indianapolis.

Derik Queen had given second-seeded Maryland (25-8) an 80-79 lead with 5.3 seconds left, but Donaldson raced down the court, splitting defenders in the lane to seal the third-seeded Wolverines’ (24-9) spot in the title game.

Vladislav Goldin led Michigan with 25 points and 10 rebounds, while Danny Wolf added 21 points and 14 boards. Maryland’s Queen poured in 31 points, making all nine of his free throws in a heartbreaking loss.

Michigan advances to the Big Ten championship game against No. 18 Wisconsin, which defeated No. 7 Michigan State in the other semifinal.


Duke Claims ACC Title, Holds Off Louisville Without Cooper Flagg

Tyrese Proctor scored 19 points as No. 1 Duke defeated No. 13 Louisville 73-62 in Charlotte to win the ACC Tournament Championship.

Despite missing ACC Player of the Year Cooper Flagg for a second straight game, Duke (31-3) dominated with contributions from Kon Knueppel (18 points) and Sion James (15 points). Khaman Maluach added eight points and 10 rebounds.

Louisville (27-7) saw Terrence Edwards Jr. score 29 points, but the Cardinals were unable to overcome Duke’s defensive pressure.

Houston Outlasts Arizona for Big 12 Tournament Title

Milos Uzan scored a career-high 25 points, leading No. 2 Houston to a 72-64 victory over No. 3 Arizona in the Big 12 championship game.

Houston (30-4) became the first team to win the Big 12 Tournament without a former Big 8 team in the final, dominating the conference with a 19-1 regular-season record. Emanuel Sharp, who scored 17 points, was named Most Outstanding Player of the tournament.

Arizona (22-12) got 19 points from Caleb Love, but Houston’s defense proved too much for the Wildcats.


Tennessee, Florida Advance to SEC Championship Game

Tennessee Holds Off Auburn in Semifinal Battle

Zakai Zeigler scored 20 points, leading No. 8 Tennessee past No. 3 Auburn 70-65 in the first SEC semifinal in Nashville.

Jordan Gainey added 15 points for the Volunteers (27-6), while Johni Broome led Auburn with 23 points. Tennessee moves on to face Florida in the SEC title game.

Florida Dominates Alabama With Explosive Offensive Performance

Walter Clayton Jr. scored 22 points, hitting six three-pointers, as No. 4 Florida routed No. 5 Alabama 104-82 in the other SEC semifinal.

The Gators (29-4) had five players score in double figures, including Alijah Martin and Will Richard (16 points each). Florida outscored Alabama 57-37 in the second half, setting a season-high for points scored.

Alabama (25-8) struggled despite 14 points from Chris Youngblood, while star Mark Sears was held to just nine points on 3-of-10 shooting.

St. John’s Claims First Big East Title Since 2000

RJ Luis Jr. scored 27 of his 29 points in the second half, as No. 6 St. John’s pulled away to defeat Creighton 82-66 in the Big East Tournament championship at Madison Square Garden.

The Red Storm (30-4) overcame an early eight-point deficit, winning their ninth straight game and securing their first Big East title since 2000.

Creighton (24-10) got 15 points from Ryan Kalkbrenner, but missed 20 of 26 three-point attempts in a frustrating loss.


Memphis Survives Tulane, Sets Up AAC Title Clash With UAB

Dain Dainja posted 23 points and 11 rebounds, helping No. 16 Memphis edge Tulane 78-77 in the AAC semifinals in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Tigers (28-5) will now face third-seeded UAB, which knocked off second-seeded North Texas to set up the championship matchup.

Tulane (19-14) was led by Rowan Brumbaugh’s 22 points, but Memphis held on late to keep its title hopes alive.


Wisconsin Upsets Michigan State to Set Up Big Ten Championship Battle

John Tonje scored a career-high 32 points, leading No. 18 Wisconsin to a 77-74 victory over No. 7 Michigan State in the Big Ten semifinals.

Tonje took over in the second half, delivering 11 points in five minutes to help the Badgers (26-8) advance to the Big Ten championship game against No. 22 Michigan.

Michigan State (27-6) saw Jase Richardson lead the way with 21 points, but the top-seeded Spartans’ eight-game winning streak was snapped.
