Jakimovski’s basket capped a comeback for the Buffaloes, who trailed by 11 in the first half. He tallied 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Julian Hammond III and Elijah Malone each contributed 16 points.
For UConn, Liam McNeeley led with 20 points, and Solo Ball and Hassan Diarra added 16 and 11, respectively. The Huskies dropped their second straight game for the first time since early 2023. Colorado will play for fifth place, while UConn faces Dayton for seventh.
