Morez Johnson Jr. scored 22 points to lead Michigan to a blowout Big Ten win over visiting Rutgers.
Johnson went 9 of 11 from the field for the Wolverines (8-0, 1-0), who scored at least 100 points for a third straight game for the first time since the 1989-90 season. Tomislav Ivisic and Keaton Wagler scored 16 points each as Illinois pulled away from Tennessee in a Music City Madness clash in Nashville.
Kylan Boswell added 15 points and David Mirkovic scored 10 for the Illini (7-2). Wagler also posted a team-high eight rebounds and five assists. Illinois used a 15-3 run late to turn a nip-and-tuck game into an 11-point lead with under seven minutes left.
Ja’Kobi Gillespie led Tennessee (7-3) with 15 points, five rebounds and five assists. The Vols shot a season-low 36.9 percent from the floor but did convert 23 offensive rebounds into 22 second-chance points.

Zuby Ejiofor posted 15 points and nine rebounds as St. John’s outlasted Ole Miss in a defensive slugfest in New York.
Bryce Hopkins scored eight points, while Dylan Darling, Joson Sanon, Oziyah Sellers, Dillon Mitchell and Ian Jackson each added seven for the Red Storm (5-3). St. John’s has alternated wins and losses over its last five outings.
Malik Dia recorded an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double and Ilias Kamardine scored 16 for Ole Miss (5-4), which has now dropped four straight. Corey Chest grabbed 10 boards in the loss.
Washington 84, No. 24 Southern California 76
Hannes Steinbach compiled 24 points and 16 rebounds and Desmond Claude scored 22 against his former team as Washington stormed back from an 18-point halftime deficit to stun USC in Los Angeles.
Washington (6-3, 1-1 Big Ten) opened the second half with a 13-0 run featuring 3-pointers from Steinbach, Zoom Diallo and ex-Trojan Wesley Yates III. Yates finished with 16 points in his return.
USC (8-1, 1-1) had built a double-digit lead behind an early 13-0 run. Chad Baker-Mazara scored 21 points, including 14 before halftime, and Jerry Easter II added 13, but the Trojans couldn’t slow the Huskies’ second-half surge.

Darius Acuff Jr. finished with 18 points, eight assists and five rebounds as Arkansas rolled past Fresno State in North Little Rock, Ark.
Meleek Thomas and D.J. Wagner scored 12 points apiece and Karter Knox added 11 for the Razorbacks (7-2), whose only losses are to Duke and Michigan State. Acuff, Thomas and Knox each hit three 3-pointers while Wagner added two as Arkansas went 11 of 30 from long range. Performances like this will factor heavily into upcoming basketball picks as the Razorbacks’ perimeter shooting and depth continue to solidify.
Wilson Jacques posted 12 points and a game-high 14 rebounds and reserve Jac Mani added 12 for the Bulldogs (6-4), who have lost two in a row after a four-game winning streak. Jake Heidbreder, averaging 20.0 points entering the night, managed just eight on 1-of-10 shooting and went 0-for-5 from deep.
