Your expert Premier League Matchweek 24 predictions are here. Following the highest-scoring EPL weekend since the league reduced to 20 teams back in 1995, let’s hope that this weekend’s action lives up to the hype.

Matchweek 24 gets underway on Saturday, February 10, with Manchester City hosting Everton in the early kick-off. The defending champions find themselves two points behind Liverpool with a game in hand on the league leaders, while Arsenal, Aston Villa and Tottenham remain in the hunt.

If you’re looking for some betting advice ahead of the weekend’s fixtures, my Premier League Matchweek 24 predictions will help. Read on to discover my Matchweek 24 predictions and picks.

Recapping Matchweek 23

As I already mentioned, Matchweek 23 served up an unrivalled number of goals. The net bulged on no fewer than 45 occasions last weekend, which is now the most goals scored in a single round of 10 Premier League games. Here’s how it happened.

PREMIER LEAGUE MATCHWEEK 23 RESULTS

  • Everton 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur
  • Brighton & Hove Albion 4-1 Crystal Palace
  • Newcastle United 4-4 Luton Town
  • Burnley 2-2 Fulham
  • Sheffield United 0-5 Aston Villa
  • Manchester United 3-0 West Ham United
  • Chelsea 2-4 Wolverhampton Wanderers
  • Bournemouth 1-1 Nottingham Forest
  • Arsenal 3-1 Liverpool
  • Brentford 1-3 Manchester City

Nine of last weekend’s matches produced over 2.5 goals, with eight of those clashes serving up over 3.5 goals. Four games even produced over 4.5 goals, while Newcastle and Luton combined for eight at St. James’ Park.

There were some pivotal results among all the goals, including Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over Liverpool. Man City and Aston Villa also strengthened their respective title challenges, meaning the top four teams are separated by just five points.

Matchweek 24 Premier League Fixtures & Odds

I understand that you’re here for my Matchweek 24 predictions, but we need to evaluate the odds before we go any further. After all, the bookies’ prices will dictate the direction of my Matchweek 24 predictions and picks.

PREMIER LEAGUE MATCHWEEK 24 ODDS

  • Manchester City (-500) vs. Everton (+1000)
  • Fulham (+137) vs. Bournemouth (+175)
  • Liverpool (-600) vs. Burnley (+1200)
  • Luton Town (-134) vs. Sheffield United (+333)
  • Tottenham Hotspur (-120) vs. Brighton & Hove Albion (+275)
  • Wolverhampton Wanderers (+110) vs. Brentford (+220)
  • Nottingham Forest (+250) vs. Newcastle United (+100)
  • West Ham United (+450) vs. Arsenal (-188)
  • Aston Villa (+105) vs. Manchester United (+220)
  • Crystal Palace (+260) vs. Chelsea (-110)

Man City and Liverpool are heavily favored to defeat Everton and Burnley, respectively. Luton and Tottenham are minus-money home favorites, too, with Fulham, Wolves and Villa also expected to triumph on home soil.

Arsenal and Chelsea are the only minus-money away favorites for this weekend, while Newcastle is expected to get the better of Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. That said, Forest claimed a 3-1 victory at St. James’ Park on Boxing Day.

Without further ado, let’s dive into my Matchweek 24 predictions.

Premier League Matchweek 24 Predictions & Picks

You probably won’t be surprised to learn that I’m expecting more goals in the Premier League this weekend. While Matchweek 24 will struggle to emulate the previous round of fixtures, we should see plenty of high-scoring games.

My Matchweek 24 predictions concern three standout clashes, with five of the top eight teams featuring below. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for the EPL action to resume!

Could Burnley spoil Liverpool’s remarkable record at Anfield? Will Tottenham and Brighton serve up another high-scoring thriller? Can Aston Villa halt Manchester United’s revival? Here are my Matchweek 24 predictions.

Liverpool vs. Burnley Prediction

Jurgen Klopp’s men suffered only their second Premier League defeat of the season last weekend, losing 3-1 to Arsenal. Still, Liverpool remains at the summit of the standings – 38 points above second-bottom Burnley.

The Reds have played 18 home games across all competitions this season, winning 16 and drawing two. It is also worth noting that Liverpool has scored over 2.5 goals on 13 occasions at Anfield, highlighting their attacking power.

Since Liverpool is priced at -600 to win on Saturday, I recommend exploring the goal markets to find better value. In my opinion, odds of -162 for Klopp’s men to net over 2.5 goals against the league’s second-worst defense are too good to miss.

Best Bet: Liverpool Over 2.5 Goals (-162)

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Brighton & Hove Albion Prediction

When Brighton hosted Tottenham in the reverse fixture back in December, the two sides shared six goals. The Seagulls raced into a 4-0 lead before Spurs pulled a couple back, with the teams combining for 34 shots.

Last weekend, Brighton scored four goals again, thrashing Crystal Palace 4-1. Tottenham was also involved in a high-scoring encounter, drawing 2-2 with Everton at Goodison Park.

It is also worth pointing out that Brighton (83%) and Tottenham (78%) have the highest BTTS ratios in the division. Goals seem to follow these two sides around, so I expect another eventful clash this time around.

Aston Villa vs. Manchester United Prediction

Aston Villa heads into Matchweek 25 on the back of an impressive 5-0 victory over Sheffield United. As a result, Unai Emery’s side remains just five points behind table-topping Liverpool after 23 matches.

Manchester United also secured a convincing win last time out, defeating West Ham 3-0. Still, the Red Devils find themselves eight points behind Villa in the standings, having experienced an inconsistent campaign up to now.

The Villains have won nine of their 11 home league games this season, while Erik ten Hag’s men have lost five of their 11 away league outings. Can Aston Villa keep the pressure on the frontrunners this weekend?
