The standout results include Arsenal’s demolition of Sheff Utd, Chelsea’s defeat to Chelsea and Man City’s success at Old Trafford. There were also impressive away wins for Everton and Spurs, with the latter cementing top spot in the standings.

Premier League Matchweek 10 Review – Betting Trends

Sports Hub’s Premier League Matchweek 10 review dives deeper into the stats and trends behind the results. If you’re looking for some useful EPL betting tips, you have certainly come to the right place!

Below, we cover all the basic betting trends, including winning streaks and losing runs. We also share lots of goal trends such as BTTS and over/under 2.5 goals, in addition to player stats like goals, assists and clean sheets.

Which teams remain unbeaten this season? Which club is still waiting for its first Premier League victory in 2023-24? Which side has won 12 consecutive home league games? Read on to discover the answers to those questions.

Basic Premier League Betting Trends

With 10 matches in the books, the top two spots in the Premier League table are occupied by the North London clubs. Tottenham and Arsenal have made an impressive start to the campaign, but can they continue to fend off Man City?

  • Tottenham and Arsenal are still unbeaten in the Premier League this season
  • After Bournemouth’s victory over Burnley, Sheffield United are the only winless team
  • Manchester City has picked up eight victories in 10 league outings this term
  • Burnley, Luton and Bournemouth have each claimed one win in 10 games
  • Aston Villa is now unbeaten in six Premier League matches
  • The Villains have also won each of their last 12 home league games
  • Nottingham Forest is on a six-game winless run in the Premier League
  • Newcastle is enjoying a five-game unbeaten run in the league

At the opposite end of the standings, Sheff Utd remain in last place with a solitary point in the bank. Despite picking up their first win of the season during MW10, Bournemouth remain just one point outside the relegation zone.

Aston Villa’s 3-1 victory over Luton means that Unai Emery’s men have won five of their last six Premier League games, as well as each of their previous 12 at home. By contrast, Nottingham Forest’s 3-0 defeat at Anfield means that Steve Cooper’s men are six without a victory.

Premier League Goal Trends After MW10

Believe it or not, five teams have scored more Premier League goals than Man City this season. Newcastle and Aston Villa average 2.6 goals per game this season, while Arsenal, Liverpool and Brighton average 2.3 goals per game.

  • Newcastle (26) and Aston Villa (26) are the joint-top scorers in the Premier League
  • Arsenal (23), Liverpool (23) and Brighton (23) have outscored Man City (22) and Spurs (22)
  • No team has netted fewer Premier League goals than Sheff Utd (7) this season
  • The Blades also possess the worst defensive record in the division with 29 goals conceded
  • Burnley (25), Bournemouth (21) and Luton (20) have also conceded 20+ goals
  • Man City (7) and Arsenal (8) boast the best defensive records in the Premier League
  • Both teams have scored in each of Brighton’s 10 league outings this term
  • Nine of Brighton’s 10 clashes have produced over 2.5 goals
  • Both teams have scored in only three of Everton’s 10 league games this season

You probably won’t be surprised to learn that Sheff Utd has the worst offensive record AND the worst defensive record. Luton, Bournemouth and Burnley have also conceded at least 20 goals, while City and Arsenal have conceded seven and eight, respectively.

Brighton maintained their 100% BTTS ratio in 2023-24 with a 1-1 draw against Fulham. Meanwhile, Everton preserved the lowest BTTS ratio in the league (30%) by defeating West Ham 1-0 at the London Stadium.

Player Stats for Premier League Bettors

In this section of our Premier League Matchweek 10 review, we go over all the standout player stats. Eddie Nketiah’s hat-trick against Sheff Utd saw him climb the Golden Boot standing, but the Arsenal striker still trails Erling Haaland and co.

  • Eddie Nketiah scored a hat-trick in Arsenal’s 5-0 thrashing of Sheff Utd
  • Erling Haaland and Callum Wilson each bagged a brace during Matchweek 10
  • Haaland how now scored 11 goals in 10 Premier League games this season
  • Mohamed Salah (8) and Son Heung-min (8) sit behind Haaland in the Golden Boot race
  • Pedro Neto has registered a league-high seven assists this term
  • Ollie Watkins (5) and James Maddison (5) sit behind Neto in the assist charts
  • David Raya (66.7%) boasts the best clean sheet ratio in the Premier League
  • Ederson, Guglielmo Vacario, Nick Pope and Sam Johnstone have also kept four clean sheets

Haaland bagged a brace in the Manchester Derby, taking his tally for the season to 11 goals in 10 league outings. Remarkably, Pedro Neto leads the league for assists with seven, although the Wolves winger picked up an injury during MW10.

Having kept four clean sheets in six Premier League matches, Arsenal’s David Raya is keeping Aaron Ramsdale out of the starting XI. It will be interesting to see whether Ramsdale can displace Raya going forward.
