The Manchester derby takes center stage in the Premier League this weekend, with United hosting City on Sunday. Accordingly, it’s time for me to share my Matchweek 10 predictions.

With nine rounds of fixtures in the books, the table is beginning to take shape. The top five teams are separated by just four points, while Sheffield United and Bournemouth remain winless at the opposite end of the standings.

Read on to discover my Premier League Matchweek 10 predictions and picks. I also recap Matchweek 9, assess the upcoming fixtures and discuss the odds for this weekend’s clashes.

Matchweek 9 Recap – What Happened Last Weekend?

It only makes sense to recap last weekend’s action before locking in our Matchweek 10 predictions. The Premier League has already served up tons of memorable clashes this season, and Matchweek 9 followed suit.

Here are the Matchweek 9 Premier League results:

  • Liverpool 2-0 Everton
  • Brentford 3-0 Burnley
  • Bournemouth 1-2 Wolverhampton Wanderers
  • Nottingham Forest 2-2 Luton Town
  • Manchester City 2-1 Brighton & Hove Albion
  • Newcastle United 4-0 Crystal Palace
  • Chelsea 2-2 Arsenal
  • Sheffield United 1-2 Manchester United
  • Aston Villa 4-1 West Ham United
  • Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Fulham

Liverpool, Brentford, Newcastle and Tottenham each secured a clean-sheet win on home soil last weekend. Manchester City and Aston Villa also triumphed in their own backyard, while Wolves and Manchester United tasted victory on the road.

We were also treated to a couple of 2-2 draws during Matchweek 9, with Luton and Arsenal coming from 2-0 down to hold Nottingham Forest and Chelsea, respectively.

Premier League Fixtures and Odds for Matchweek 10

It’s also time for me to reveal my Matchweek 10 predictions. Before we go any further, though, we need to evaluate the upcoming fixtures and track down the betting value.

Here are the Matchweek 10 Premier League fixtures and odds:

  • Crystal Palace (+300) vs. Tottenham Hotspur (-120)
  • Chelsea (-163) vs. Brentford (+425)
  • Arsenal (-750) vs. Sheffield United (+1600)
  • Bournemouth (+115) vs. Burnley (+220)
  • Wolverhampton Wanderers (+333) vs. Newcastle United (-134)
  • West Ham United (+105) vs. Everton (+240)
  • Aston Villa (-350) vs. Luton Town (+800)
  • Brighton & Hove Albion (-200) vs. Fulham (+425)
  • Liverpool (-350) vs. Nottingham Forest (+800)
  • Manchester United (+375) vs. Manchester City (-150)

As you can see, Chelsea, Arsenal, Bournemouth, West Ham, Brighton, Liverpool and Man Utd are favored to triumph on home soil this weekend. On the flip side, Tottenham, Newcastle and Man City are favored to win on their travels.

The biggest mismatch of Matchweek 10 is the clash between Arsenal and Sheffield United. The Gunners are priced at just -750 to claim all three points, while the Blades are priced at +1600 to cause an upset.

Matchweek 10 Predictions – Premier League Picks

Matchweek 10 gets underway this Friday, October 27, with Crystal Palace hosting Tottenham. We then have four clashes to enjoy on Saturday, with the remaining five games scheduled for Sunday.

I have decided to focus my Matchweek 10 predictions on one standout clash for each day. Of course, the Manchester derby is the biggest game of the weekend, but it might not present the best value from a betting perspective.

Let’s kick things off with my prediction for Crystal Palace vs. Tottenham Hotspur. Saturday’s offering is Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Newcastle United, while Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Fulham is my pick for Sunday.

Crystal Palace vs. Tottenham Hotspur Prediction

Thanks to a 2-0 victory over Fulham on Monday, Spurs find themselves two points clear of second-placed Man City after nine matches. Under the guidance of Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham has taken the Premier League by storm.

With attacking talents like Son Heung-min and James Maddison leading the way, Spurs have taken 23 points from a possible 27 this season. Better still, they have conceded just eight goals across nine outings in 2023-24.

By contrast, Crystal Palace possesses a record of three wins, three draws and three losses. Having scored a measly seven goals in nine league games this term, the Eagles look set to suffer another defeat at the hands of high-flying Tottenham.

Best Bet: Tottenham Hotspur (-120)

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Newcastle United Prediction

Following a shaky start to the campaign, Newcastle is back. Eddie Howe’s men have won four of their previous five Premier League clashes, scoring 17 goals (3.4 goals per game) while keeping four clean sheets for good measure.

Wolves have also upped their game in recent weeks, chalking up a four-game unbeaten run in the league. After securing a shock victory over Manchester City, the Wanderers beat Bournemouth 2-1 last weekend.

Newcastle heads into Saturday’s clash as the bookies’ favorite, but the hosts will fancy their chances of upsetting the odds. If the recent form guide is anything to go by, Wolves could push the Magpies all the way.

Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Fulham Prediction

Brighton won five of their opening six Premier League encounters, scoring over 2.5 goals in each of those victories. Since then, however, the Seagulls have taken one point from a possible nine, conceding 10 goals in the process.

Fulham has also struggled for form of late, losing two of their last three league matches. When you look at the bigger picture, the Cottagers have managed to win just two of their previous eight.

Since both sides find themselves in questionable form, I recommend exploring the goal-based markets for this matchup. Brighton possesses a 100% BTTS ratio in 2023-24, with each of their nine games producing over 2.5 goals.
