Victor Olofsson recorded his first NHL hat trick and Nathan MacKinnon scored twice as Colorado halted New Jersey’s eight-game winning streak. Cale Makar dished out four assists, helping the Avalanche (5-4-1) end a four-game skid.

The Devils (8-1-1) rallied with four goals in just over four minutes but couldn’t complete the comeback.

Kyle Connor scored 46 seconds into overtime to lift Winnipeg past Minnesota. Gabriel Vilardi, Vladislav Namestnikov, and Nino Niederreiter also found the net as the Jets (6-3-0) won their second straight.

Brock Faber’s goal and assist led the Wild (2-6-1), who have dropped five of six.
