Let’s dig a little deeper into what’s going on.

Cash Prizes For MLB Handicapper Contest Winners

With spring training in full swing, we’ve decided our first big handicapper contest is going to be for the MLB season. There will be a minimum purse of $5000, divided into monthly and season long winners for moneylines, run lines and totals. The more people that join, the higher the payouts will be.

We are still working out all of the details of our MLB handicapper contest, but it’ll be sorted by mid-March. It’ll be ready to roll by MLB Opening Day. In order to make the contest fair for everyone, there will be parameters that will need to be met. We will post a full press release with contest rules in the coming weeks.

One rule will include submitting a minimum number of picks. As well, handicappers will need to be signed up by the MLB All-Star Game (July 16) to be eligible for the season-long prize pool. Don’t worry, you’ll still have a shot at all the monthly money!

How Does the MLB Handicapper Contest Work?

Can SWJ Sports Win the MLB Handicapper Contest?

I don’t know how Scott from SWJ Sports does it, but he’s always up there with the best handicappers in the business. He regularly crushes UFC and is a hockey wiz. SWJ Sports tops yesterday’s leaderboard with a cool $970 profit.

Let’s check out yesterday’s results first.

  • SWJ Sports: Scott’s $970 profit came from an 11-3 record. This included 4 MLB spring training dogs with average moneylines of +140, going 3-1 on those. If he keeps those numbers up, he might be a shoe-in for some MLB handicapper contest prizes. He also loaded up on the Edmonton Oilers, cashing them at -150 & -1.5+160. Scottie Too Hottie knows how to find value. Oh, just so you know – he’s up over $2100  the last 14 days.
  • POTD?: 18 picks are a lot of play of the days – however – after a big day 2 days ago, the Knup Boy were at it again, going 13-4-1 yesterday. They pounded the spread on basketball dogs, as well as NHL puckline dogs. All toll, they were up $870 yesterday.
  • My Hero, My Hawk: We’ve seen Mike all over the place the past month. Look at the graphic – after a $471 day yesterday, he’s now up $1215 over the last 7 and $1664 the last 30 days. Mike has been going quality over quantity, but showing great diversity. He hit an NHL and a Premier League prediction yesterday.

  • Info Plays: Info Plays are our friends over at Best Bettor. They also employ the quality over quantity strategy, which shows both work when used correctly. Info Plays normally posts a pick a day, showing regular profits. Their $284 day yesterday puts them up almost $800 over the last month. I wonder which strategy will be most profitable during the MLB handicapper contest?

The Sports World Never Takes a Break

I know I talked early about us all missing football, but the truth is, there’s a lot going on. There is a buzz around the world of sports, and we like to think we have something to do with it. Go give us a follow on all socials after we see what’s going on today.

Here’s what’s trending in the sports world. There’s tons going on.

  • NFL always relevant: One thing you must give the National Football League credit for, is staying relevant. No matter what time of the year it is, the NFL is always in the headlines. This week it’s the combine, which is directly related to the draft. We recently wrote an article that outlined the best way to stay informed during the 2024 NFL offseason.
  • F1 is Back: The 2024 F1 season is a go this weekend with the Bahrain Grand Prix. Will Max Verstappen continue his dominance after looking unstoppable in 2023? I’ll leave that one to the experts, but early Sunday morning racing action is here.
  • Ice Scream Sammich: The NHL is currently in all-in mode, with most teams starting the 4th quarter of their schedule. The Leafs hold the longest current winning streak at 7 games, with the Red Wings and Predators behind them with 5 wins. The poor ol’ Coyotes are riding a 12-game losing streak, with the Habs losers of their last 5.
  • NBA shitshow: Is it just us, or is the NBA a complete circus right now? I mean, it’s entertaining af, but get yo shit together! Hope they get it together, cause the West is wide open and should provide plenty of entertainment in the coming months.
  • Soccer Showing Worldwide: Between European soccer and the MLS, there is something to watch every day, most days all day.
