All of Europe’s top five soccer leagues have now kicked off! We are giving you picks for the upcoming weekend of action, including Serie A Matchday 2 picks. The Premier League, Ligue 1 and La Liga all started on August 11, whilst the Bundesliga and Serie A began a week later on August 18.

Now that the leagues have all begun for the 2023/24 season, I will be providing you with picks across Europe’s top five soccer leagues, including Serie A Matchday 2 picks. First up, I will recap some of the action thus far.

At Sports Hub, we also provide weekly picks just for the Premier League. As well as that, we are supplying weekly reviews for both the Premier League and Europe’s top five leagues. Bettors will find these articles useful as we aim to highlight key trends and tips as the season progresses.

Euro Soccer Top Leagues – Recap

Premier League

We are two weeks into the Premier League season and, unsurprisingly, Manchester City and Arsenal have won both of their opening league matches. However, Brighton & Hove Albion have picked up where they left off last term and have also recorded maximum points.

At the other end, the likes of Sheffield United, Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers have failed to register a single point. They are strong contenders for relegation this season.

Ligue 1

Just Monaco and Brest have taken full points through Matchday 2 in France’s top soccer league. However, both Marseille and Lille have made solid starts and are undefeated after two matches as they look to build on decent campaign’s last term.

It has been a poor start for champions Paris Saint-Germain who are winless so far and have just two points to their name. Lyon, Nantes and Clermont have all failed to pick up a point as they sit near the foot of the table.

La Liga

English superstar Jude Bellingham has arrived at Real Madrid in style and he has helped them sit top of the pile early on, winning both of their matches. Rayo Vallecano and Valencia have also taken full points. Champions Barcelona have made a good start too and are unbeaten after two games, conceding zero goals.

At the other end of the table, Sevilla, Almeria and Granada have all lost their opening two matches. It has not been the best of beginnings for Las Palmas, Mallorca, Celta Vigo and Getafe either who all have just one point on the board.

Bundesliga

We have had just one Matchday so far in Germany so we don’t know much. However, we saw expected wins from Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. Union Berlin and Freiburg, who rounded off the top-four last term, also started with victories.

Serie A

Most of the top sides in Italy got off to a promising start as the likes of Napoli, Inter, Milan, Juventus, Atalanta and Fiorentina all recorded victories on the opening matchday. Forwards Victor Osimhen and Lautaro Martinez picked up where they left off from last season too.

However, both Rome-based clubs Roma and Lazio failed to find the three points. The Giallorossi were held at home to Salernitana, whilst Maurizo Sarri’s men lost away to Lecce. Check out our Serie A Matchday 2 picks below!

Euro Soccer Top Leagues – Serie A Matchday 2 Picks

Now that we are all caught up on some of the action from the Euro soccer top leagues thus far, it’s time we get into our picks for the next round of fixtures.

We have a host of top quality soccer on show this weekend. The Premier League, Ligue 1, Bundesliga and La Liga all play on Friday. On Saturday, we have six Premier League games, two from Ligue 1, six from the Bundesliga, four from Serie A and three La Liga matches.

The action continues on Sunday too as three Premier League games are on show, six Ligue 1, two Bundesliga, four Serie A and three La Liga. Finally, Monday concludes the matchday with two games each in Serie A and La Liga.

It’s time to get into our Euro soccer top leagues picks, starting with our Serie A Matchday 2 picks.

Serie A Matchday 2 Picks – Milan vs Torino Prediction

2021/22 Serie A champions Milan play their first home match of the new season at San Siro this week as they take on Torino. This match looks set to be a good option for one of our Serie A Matchday 2 picks. Here are the current odds for the game:

  • Milan (-169)
  • Draw (+270)
  • Torino (+440)

Milan excelled in Matchday 1 as they defeated Bologna 2-0 away from home. The win shouldn’t be taken lightly as Bologna finished ninth in Serie A last term and took points off of the likes of Lazio, Inter, Napoli, Juventus and Milan themselves last season.

Torino got off to a labored start as they drew 0-0 at home to newly-promoted Cagliari in their opening fixture. The hosts didn’t create many chances either and registered just two shots on goal.

With the odds for a Milan win being too short, a -1 handicap (+117) looks to be a better pick. The Rossoneri displayed their offensive talents last week and should beat Torino by at least two goals on Saturday.

Best Bet: Milan -1 (+117)

Serie A Matchday 2 Picks – Frosinone vs Atalanta Prediction

Frosinone were crowned Serie B champions last term as they secured promotion to Serie A. They host Atalanta on Saturday and the game will feature another one of our Serie A Matchday 2 picks. Below are the current odds for the match:

  • Frosinone (+360)
  • Draw (+285)
  • Atalanta (-152)

It was a tough start for the Serie A new boys in their first match of the season as they suffered a 3-1 defeat at home to champions Napoli. It will be another tough match this weekend as they take on Atalanta who finished in fifth-place last term.

The visitors made a good start to the new campaign as they defeated Sassuolo 2-0 last week away from home. They should be in line to keep back-to-back clean sheets here with a favorable match-up.

However, the moneyline odds for an Atalanta win look too short. Therefore, we are looking at an alternative market. Sign up to Sports Hub to get access to the pick.

Serie A Matchday 2 Picks – Monza vs Empoli Prediction

Monza had a wonderful season in Serie A last term after their promotion from Serie B the year prior. They finished in 11th, whilst Empoli were down in 14th. Check out the odds for the match here:

  • Monza (-111)
  • Draw (+244)
  • Empoli (+278)

Both sides didn’t make the best of starts to the new season and lost their openers. However, Monza did face a much better opponent in Inter, whilst Empoli struggled against Hellas Verona.

The two teams will be desperate for their first points of the season in this one but it should be a close affair. Sign in to Sports Hub to access all of our Serie A Matchday 2 picks.

Alternative Euro Soccer Top Leagues Picks

Serie A Matchday 2 picks has been our focus this week with a number of favorable match-ups. However we have also provided some alternative picks from the rest of the European soccer leagues.

There are a plethora of fixtures on show this weekend and so bettors have a host of opportunities to bet on soccer. Fixtures in just one particular league may not give you the best opportunities for profits.

As a result, it is important to scour the rest of the soccer leagues to make good selections. So, we’ve already had our Serie A Matchday 2 picks, let’s get into our picks from other leagues.

Premier League Matchday 3 Picks – Sheffield United vs Manchester City Prediction

Premier League champions Man City make the trip to Bramall Lane on Sunday as they meet newly-promoted Sheffield United. Here are the current odds for the game:

  • Sheffield United (+1400)
  • Draw (+560)
  • Manchester City (-625)

It has been business as usual for the Cityzens as they have won both of their first two matches and are yet to concede a goal. That started off with a comfortable 3-0 triumph over fellow Premier League new boys Burnley, before defeating Newcastle United 1-0 at home at the Etihad Stadium.

As expected Sheffield United have struggled to start the season and have lost both of their opening two games. They suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Crystal Palace before losing 2-1 away to Nottingham Forest last Friday.

Odds of -625 for a City win are certainly not worth it. However, their strong offense, led by the likes of Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez and Phil Foden could signal danger for the Sheffield United defense.

Bundesliga Matchday 2 Picks – RB Leipzig vs Stuttgart Prediction

Our final pick for the week comes from the Bundesliga as RB Leipzig host Stuttgart. Here are the current odds for the match:

  • RB Leipzig (-222)
  • Draw (+350)
  • Stuttgart (+480)

RB Leipzig lost their opener in a 3-2 defeat away to Bayer Leverkusen. Stuttgart got off to a fantastic start as they beat Bochum 5-0. Both teams have proven their ability to score a lot of goals.

Leipzig have demonstrated their ability to score goals this term after they defeated Bayern Munich 3-0 in the Super Cup earlier this month, with Dani Olmo scoring a hat-trick.

We’re avoiding the moneyline for this fixture too due to Leipzig being heavy favorites.
