This week I am targeting La Liga Matchday 5 picks. European club soccer is back this week with players all set to return from the international break. It’s time for my Euro soccer top leagues picks!

Before the break, I highlighted Bundesliga Matchday 3 picks as a profitable source. Three out of my five total picks from the latest article landed. Hopefully we can get that to 100% this week.

I am also producing a weekly European soccer weekly review that is picking out the key betting trends and statistics. That will be a good source for bettors to utilize and continue to find winners.

First things first, let’s recap what happened across the Euro soccer top leagues before the internationals. After that, I will get into my picks for the week, including La Liga Matchday 5 picks.

Euro Soccer Top Leagues – Recap

Premier League

Manchester City continue to dominate the English Premier League and have a 100% record through four matches. However, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, West Ham United and Arsenal have all made strong starts too and are just two points behind the league leaders.

My only Premier League pick from the last article managed to hit as Nottingham Forest defeated Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge. I had Forest to score at least one goal so it was good to see that selection come in.

Ligue 1

Monaco continue to sit atop the Ligue 1 standings after picking up ten points after four games. Paris Saint-Germain have won their last two back-to-back so are getting back to their usual form. Clermont, Lens and Lyon occupy the bottom three after poor starts.

I backed Toulouse to defeat Clermont in the last Euro soccer picks article but unfortunately it didn’t come in as the two sides shared the points in a 2-2 draw.

La Liga

Real Madrid’s 100% start has resumed as they have 12 points out of 12 to start the season. Girona have been the surprise package thus far and remain unbeaten, winning three from four matches. Check out my La Liga Matchday 5 picks below.

However, it has been a dismal start for Sevilla who sit bottom of the table and are yet to record a single point. However, they and Atletico Madrid have played a game less than the rest of the division since their meeting set for the last Matchday was postponed.

Bundesliga

Bundesliga Matchday 3 picks were the key theme of the previous Euro soccer picks. Two out of three of my Bundesliga picks landed. Union Berlin vs RB Leipzig had over 2.5 goals, whilst my Bayer Leverkusen selection came in with ease as they defeated Darmstadt 5-1.

Unfortunately, my Borussia Mönchengladbach vs Bayern Munich pick failed to land. I had Bayern -1 ½ but they only managed to secure a victory of 2-1. Nevertheless, my European soccer weekly review continues to highlight the Bundesliga as a good league to target.

Serie A

I didn’t select any Serie A picks last time out. Let’s see if they feature this time around. Inter and Milan have both made perfect starts to the season, winning three from three to start the campaign. Inter are yet to even concede a single goal so far and look set for a run at the Scudetto.

At the other end of the table, Empoli have failed to pick up a single point thus far. Roma have had an extremely poor beginning and are yet to find a win, whilst the likes of Salernitana, Udinese and Cagliari are also without a victory.

Euro Soccer Top Leagues – La Liga Matchday 5 Picks

Now you should be all up to speed on what’s been happening across Europe’s top five leagues. Let’s get into my La Liga Matchday 5 picks!

The action from the top five Euro soccer leagues gets back underway on Friday this week with games from Ligue 1, Bundesliga and La Liga. All five leagues are on display on Saturday and Sunday.

Monday will conclude the Matchday’s soccer with games from the Premier League, Serie A and Bunesliga on show. I’m ready to get into my picks for the week and turn some profits!

La Liga Matchday 5 Picks – Valencia vs Atletico Madrid Prediction

The first of my La Liga Matchday 5 picks features Valencia vs Atletico Madrid that is set to take place on Saturday at the Mestalla. Check out the current odds for the match below:

  • Valencia (+258)
  • Draw (+224)
  • Atletico Madrid (+102)

The visitors are favorites for the tie as they remain unbeaten from their first three games of the campaign. Valencia got off to a good start, picking up consecutive wins, but have lost their last two.

Atletico Madrid recorded an emphatic 7-0 triumph away to Rayo Vallecano last time out so are in fantastic form. Valencia lost 1-0 away to Alaves in their last match and they also suffered a 2-1 defeat against Osasuna in their most recent home game.

Colchoneros forward Alvaro Morata is in excellent form and has scored five goals in his last three appearances for club and country. He should lead his side to victory against Valencia on Saturday.

Best Bet: Atletico Madrid (+102)

La Liga Matchday 5 Picks – Villarreal vs Almeria Prediction

Next up for my La Liga Matchday 5 picks looks towards the bottom end of the table as Villarreal play host to Almeria on Sunday. Here are the latest odds for the game:

  • Villarreal (-227)
  • Draw (+350)
  • Almeria (+500)

Neither team has made the best of starts to the campaign. Vilarreal have won just one of their four games, whilst Almeria remain without a win and have picked up just one point.

The Yellow Submarine suffered a 3-1 defeat away to Cadiz in their most recent outing but were reduced to ten men after just 22 minutes. Meanwhile, Almeria lost 3-2 at home to Celta Vigo last time out.

The hosts boast a 75% record of over 2.5 goals so far this season. The visitors have seen 50% of their games have over 2.5 goals. Both sides have conceded a total of nine goals so far this term (tied second most) so we could see plenty of action. The goals market could be a good option.

La Liga Matchday 5 Picks – Athletic Bilbao vs Cadiz Prediction

My final selection for La Liga Matchday 5 picks comes from the clash between Athletic Bilbao and Cadiz. The two sides will meet at San Mamés on Saturday. Below you can find the current odds for the encounter:

  • Athletic Bilbao (-192)
  • Draw (+285)
  • Cadiz (+500)

Athletic Bilbao drew 0-0 away to Mallorca in their most recent outing. They have had a fairly solid start to the season, despite losing 2-0 at home to Real Madrid in their opener. Since then, they have gone three games unbeaten.

Away side Cadiz have also been pretty solid and picked up a 1-0 win at home to Alaves in their first game of the season. Despite losing 2-0 away to Barcelona in the match after, Cadiz drew 1-1 at home to Almeria before defeating Villarreal 3-1 in their most recent match.

Odds for a home win look too short so I am avoiding the money line in this one. However, I have found what looks to be a great value selection for the match.

Alternative Euro Soccer Top League Picks

I landed 66.66% of my feature Bundesliga Matchday 3 picks last time. Hopefully I can get 100% of my La Liga Matchday 5 picks right this week. Either way, the selections look good and I should turn a profit.

As always, I will also be providing you with a couple of picks from the rest of Europe’s top five soccer leagues. Bundesliga picks and Premier League picks have been particularly profitable so far.

My La Liga Matchday 5 picks are now locked in. Let’s investigate some alternative selections from the other leagues.

Bundesliga Matchday 4 Picks – Union Berlin vs Wolfsburg Prediction

If you’ve been reading my Euro soccer weekly review, then you’ll know that a whopping 88.89% of Bundesliga games saw over 2.5 goals during the last Matchday!

Therefore, I had to include a selection from the German top-flight. Check out the current odds for Union Berlin vs Wolfsburg below:

  • Union Berlin (+210)
  • Draw (+230)
  • Wolfsburg (+119)

As you can see by the money line odds, it should be a close game. However, I am going to target the goals market once again which has been heavily researched over the past few weeks.

Premier League Matchday 5 Picks – Burnley vs Nottingham Forest Prediction

Still looking for their first points of the new campaign, Burnley welcome Nottingham Forest to Turf Moor on Monday night. Here are the current money line odds for the game:

  • Burnley (+215)
  • Draw (+240)
  • Nottingham Forest (+113)

Vincent Kompany’s Burnley have had a tricky start to life back in the Premier League and were beaten heavily by Spurs last time out in a 5-2 loss.

Forest picked up an impressive 1-0 triumph away to Chelsea in their most recent outing and they are looking like a well-drilled side.

Goals have been the theme in the English top-flight this term so I will be targeting that market once again for my final pick of the week.
