We head to sunny Spain for a bit of winter warmth this week as I take a look at La Liga Matchday 17 picks. Sports Hub is back with Euro soccer top leagues bets.

I went 3-3 with last week’s Euro soccer top leagues picks. Both of my feature Bundesliga Matchday 14 picks came in, as well as my sole Ligue 1 selection. However, my three Serie A bets let me down as they all failed to land. Yuck! I’ve got another Serie A pick coming up this week so let’s hope it doesn’t flop like last week’s Italian top-flight wagers.

However, I have returned to Spain for this week’s bets as I look to profit from La Liga Matchday 17 picks. This week’s research has highlighted La Liga Unders as a good source. The thought is that that trend could continue this time around. It’s time to dive into this weekend’s picks!

Euro Soccer Top Leagues – Recap

Premier League

We have another new leader at the top of the Premier League table. Aston Villa beat Arsenal 1-0 last Saturday to allow Liverpool to sit at the summit. Villa are one of the most in form teams in the division and also beat champions Manchester City 1-0 last Wednesday.

Everton’s battle near the bottom of the table continues to go strong as they picked up their third successive triumph at home to Chelsea. Luton, Burnley and Sheffield United now make up the bottom-three.

Ligue 1

I made just one selection from France in last weekend’s picks and that was able to land. I selected the Under in the Clermont vs Lille match which ended 0-0. Once again, Ligue 1 Unders continue to be profitable.

Paris Saint-Germain’s dominance resumed as they defeated Nantes 2-1 to record their eighth consecutive league win. Nice bounced back with a 2-1 win at home to Reims, but they still remain four points behind.

La Liga

Girona are doing some wonderful things in La Liga this season. They stunned their Catalonian rivals Barcelona with a 4-2 victory last weekend and they now sit two points clear atop the standings ahead of Real Madrid. What a shock that would be if Girona were able to win the league this season.

I avoided La Liga selections again last week but they have made a return this weekend. La Liga Unders have been a recent trend. Make sure you check out my La Liga Matchday 17 picks below to find out which games make it in this weekend’s selections.

Bundesliga

Bundesliga Matchday 14 picks were the highlight of last weekend’s article. I targeted Bundesliga Unders, too, since they have been consistent of late. I went 2-0 with my picks, correctly selecting the Unders in both the Köln vs Mainz (0-0) and Stuttgart vs Bayer Leverkusen (1-1) matches.

The top-two teams in Germany have suffered a dip in form of late. Leverkusen are now the only team left unbeaten in the Bundesliga after Bayern Munich were beaten handsomely in a 5-1 loss away to Frankfurt. However, Leverkusen have drawn their last two in the league.

Serie A

Having made a total of three selections from Serie A last week, they ultimately proved to be a failure. A record of 0-3 from the Italian top-flight was pretty dreadful, I know. But, I am determined to bounce back. Fingers crossed my only Serie A selection lands this week.

I had over 2.5 goals and Frosinone to win in their home tie with Torino. That proved to be a stinker as the match ended 0-0. I couldn’t have called the game any differently. Yikes. I also backed Roma to beat Fiorentina at home but the game finished 1-1.

Euro Soccer Top Leagues – La Liga Matchday 17 Picks

This weekend’s feature Euro soccer top leagues selections come in the form of La Liga Matchday 17 picks. My European soccer weekly report has identified that La Liga Unders could be a very profitable tactic this week. Let’s see if any make it in my bets.

I have analyzed the matchups for the Spanish top-flight matches and I have found four selections that I like. Be sure to continue reading to find out what I have gone for.

However, I have also headed to the rest of the European leagues for my final couple of picks. Alternative Euro soccer picks will also be revealed below. First things first, let’s start with La Liga Matchday 17 picks!

La Liga Matchday 17 Picks – Celta Vigo vs Granada Prediction

It’s a battle near the bottom of La Liga this week as Celta Vigo host Granada at Estadio de Balaidos. Check out the money line odds for the first of my La Liga Matchday 17 picks:

  • Celta Vigo (-149)
  • Draw (+300)
  • Granada (+390)

Both Celta Vigo and Granada have been in terrible form of late and have failed to win any of their last 12 and 13 league games respectively. Vigo drew 0-0 away to Rayo Vallecano last time out, whilst Granada also shared the points in a 1-1 stalemate with Athletic Bilbao.

Following the recent league trend of La Liga Unders, I have identified these two teams as strong candidates this week. Just 25% of Celta Vigo’s home games have seen over 2.5 goals this term. Meanwhile, the Under is landing 50% of the time in Granada’s matches.

The hosts are averaging less than a goal per game this term, whilst the visitors have scored just three goals over their previous five outings.

I really like the value of under 2.5 goals for this match and the statistics are showing that it is a good match to target when it comes to Unders as well.

Best Bet: Celta Vigo vs Granada Under 2.5 goals (+118)

La Liga Matchday 17 Picks – Las Palmas vs Cadiz Prediction

Next up in my La Liga Matchday 17 picks sees Las Palmas take on Cadiz on their own turf at Estadio de Gran Canaria. Below you can find the current money line odds for the game:

  • Las Palmas (-111)
  • Draw (+242)
  • Cadiz (+340)

Sitting inside the top-half through 16 matches, Las Palmas are having an excellent season after their promotion from the second tier last term. They have won back-to-back matches heading into this one and beat Alaves 1-0 on the road in their last match.

However, opponents Cadiz are struggling just outside the bottom-three and have failed to win any of their last 11 La Liga outings. They are unbeaten over their last two, though, and drew 1-1 away to Celta Vigo in their last game.

There are a couple of selections that I like the look of for this match. You need to make sure that you sign in to Sports Hub in order to find out my two selections.

La Liga Matchday 17 Picks – Athletic Bilbao vs Atletico Madrid Prediction

The third and final one of my La Liga Matchday 17 picks comes from Athletic Bilbao vs Atletico Madrid. Here you can find the current money line odds for the encounter:

  • Athletic Bilbao (+143)
  • Draw (+240)
  • Atletico Madrid (+190)

The hosts have made an impressive start to the campaign and are just five points away from a spot in the top-four. Despite drawing 1-1 away to Granada in their most recent clash, Bilbao have been on top form at home of late and are unbeaten across their last seven matches at Estadio San Mames.

It has been an interesting season for Diego Simeone’s Atletico in 2023. Usually, Simeone’s side are defensively sound and favor a focus on keeping things tight at the back. However, this term, goals have been aplenty and they have scored the third most goals in the division.

Bilbao have also scored a lot of goals this season, too, and rank fourth in that metric across the whole of La Liga. It will be a tough match up against an Atletico side who wrapped up top spot in their Champions League group midweek with a comfortable 2-0 win over Italian outfit Lazio.

Be sure to sign in to Sports Hub to find out what bet I have made for this match. It could be a close one to call. So, instead, I have looked to the goals market.

Alternative Euro Soccer Top League Picks

After making four bets with my La Liga Matchday 17 picks, I have made a further two picks with my alternative Euro soccer selections. That includes one bet each from Ligue 1 and Serie A.

Ligue 1 and Serie A have proven to be very profitable leagues for me this season. Hopefully, they can continue to help me turn profits with my Euro soccer picks.

Analyzing key betting trends every week helps me identify the best wagers to make. I always cross-reference the research in my weekly reports before making my picks for the weekend. So, without further ado, let’s get into my alternative Euro soccer picks!

Ligue 1 Matchday 16 Picks – Lens vs Reims Prediction

The first of my alternative Euro soccer picks comes from Ligue 1 as Lens play host to Reims at Stade Bollaert-Delelis on Saturday. Below you can check out the current money line odds for the affair:

  • Lens (-115)
  • Draw (+275)
  • Reims (+300)

One of the most in form teams in the French top-flight in Lens will be searching for their fifth consecutive home victory this weekend as they take on a Reims side who have just one win over their last four.

It was a slow start for Franck Haise’s side this season. They had a spectacular campaign last term after finishing as Ligue 1 runners-up and now they are starting to get back to their best. Lens are unbeaten across their last ten league matches and managed to beat Sevilla 2-1 in the Champions League midweek.

Despite being level on points with the home side, Reims have suffered a dip in form of late and have lost their last two straight on the road. It will be tough for them to get a result here, especially since Lens haven’t lost on their own turf since September.

Serie A Matchday 16 Picks – Milan vs Monza Prediction

Having just about secured a spot in the Europa League knockouts midweek, Milan return to San Siro on Sunday as they welcome Monza to Lombardy. Take a look at the latest money line prices for the encounter:

  • Milan (-159)
  • Draw (+320)
  • Monza (+420)

The Rossoneri have been incredibly inconsistent this term and have won two and lost three out of their past five competitive matches. Even at home, they have recorded three victories and three defeats over their last six games. They did pick up the three points in their most recent match on their own turf, however, defeating Frosinone 3-1.

Monza have proven that last season’s 11th-placed finish in Serie A was no fluke as they currently reside in ninth. Raffaele Palladino’s men have been in pretty decent form too, losing just one of their last six outings. That loss was rather unfortunate as well after it took a goal in injury-time for Juventus to defeat them.

It’s hard to trust Milan due to their inconsistency, especially since Monza have been tough to beat this season. I’ve made a selection from the goals market for this match as the data is suggesting a clear trend. Sign in to Sports Hub to find out what I am going for in this game.
