We have CFL Week 19 predictions for all four games on the schedule. This is the last week with four games. The final two weeks of the regular season will have three games on the schedule.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are on a bye week.

CFL Week 18 Results and Betting Recap

Here are the results from CFL Week 18:

• Elks 12 vs. Argonauts 35 – Argonauts (-7) Covered ATS and Under 49.5
• Blue Bombers 34 vs. Lions 26 – Blue Bombers (+1) Covered ATS and Over 50.5
• Tiger-Cats 38 vs. Roughriders 13 – Tiger-Cats (+3) Covered ATS and Over 49
• Redblacks 3 vs. Alouettes 29 – Alouettes (-6) Covered ATS and Under 47.5

Favorites went 2-2 (2-2 ATS) in Week 18 and are 45-25 (34-34-2 ATS) this season. The over/under was split (2-2) in Week 15 and the over/under record this season is now at 38-33.

I started out the week going 0-3 and things were looking bleak, but I went 2-0 on the Alouettes game to go 2-3 (-$140). My overall record for the CFL season is now 39-28 (+$870).

Lions vs. Tiger-Cats Prediction

• When: Friday, October 13th 2023 at 7:00 PM ET
• Where: Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ontario
• Opening Spread: Lions -3.5 / Current Spread: Lions -3.5
• Opening Total: 48.5 Points / Current Total: 48.5 Points

The BC Lions (11-5 / 8-7-1 ATS) are coming off a loss against the Blue Bombers and are second place in the West Division. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (8-8 / 8-8 ATS) crushed the Roughriders last Friday. These teams have played H2H once and the Ti-Cats won (30-13) and covered. The game went under the total.

Vernon Adams Jr. leads the CFL in passing yards (4,357) and he’s second in passing TDs (29). The Lions are scoring 27.9 PPG (3rd) and allowing 23.0 PPG (4th), while the Tiger-Cats are scoring 22.4 PPG (6th) and allowing 25.4 PPG (5th). Both teams rank in the top three in passing yards this season.

Defensively, the Lions allow 255.8 PYPG (5th) and the Ti-Cats allow 267.4 PYPG (6th). The Lions have gone over in five consecutive games and each game has had 59+ points scored.

Best Bet: Over 48.5 Points (-110)

Roughriders vs. Stampeders Prediction

• When: Friday, October 13th 2023 at 9:30 PM ET
• Where: McMahon Stadium in Calgary, Alberta
• Opening Spread: Stampeders -3 / Current Spread: Stampeders -3.5
• Opening Total: 48.5 Points / Current Total: 48.5 Points

The Saskatchewan Roughriders (6-10 / 7-8-1 ATS) were blown out last week. The Calgary Stampeders (4-11 / 5-9-1 ATS) are coming off a bye week. These two rivals have played each other twice already this season. The H2H season series is split (1-1 / 1-1 ATS) and both games went over the total.

These are two low-scoring teams. The Stampeders score 22.1 PPG (7th) and the Riders score 21.4 PPG (8th). Saskatchewan allows a league-worst 31.0 PPG, while Calgary allow 26.7 PPG (6th). The Riders have a -15 turnover margin (9th) and they’ve made 41 turnovers, which is tied for the most in the CFL.

The Roughriders have lost five consecutive games and haven’t looked good. Expect a close game, as the two H2H games this season have been decided by a combined five points.

Alouettes vs. Elks Prediction

• When: Saturday, October 14th 2023 at 4:00 PM ET
• Where: Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta
• Opening Spread: Alouettes -1.5 / Current Spread: Alouettes -2.5
• Opening Total: 47.5 Points / Current Total: 47.5 Points

The Edmonton Elks (5-11 / 7-8-1 ATS) host the Montreal Alouettes (9-7 / 9-7 ATS). The Alouettes are on a three-game winning streak and have won each game by 17+ points. Edmonton have lost two games in a row. This is the first and only H2H meeting between these two teams this season.

Montreal score 24.1 PPG (4th) and allow 21.9 PPG (3rd). They’ve beaten the teams they should defeat this season. The Elks are the lowest scoring team in the CFL (20.1 PPG) and they allow 27.3 PPG (7th).

Edmonton will struggle to pass the football and will need to establish the run (126.1 RYPG – 3rd). The Als have forced 39 turnovers (4th), which is how they’ve won games. They’ll want to get the run game going this weekend, as the Elks are allowing a league-worst 135.7 RYPG this season.

Redblacks vs. Argonauts Prediction

• When: Saturday, October 14th 2023 at 7:00 PM ET
• Where: BMO Field in Toronto, Ontario
• Opening Spread: OTB / Current Spread: OTB
• Opening Total: OTB / Current Total: OTB

The Ottawa Redblacks (4-12 / 5-11 ATS) have had a terrible season. Dustin Crum was benched last week and Nick Arbuckle will likely draw the start at QB this week. We’re also waiting to see who the Argonauts will start this week, as they’ve already clinched the East. That’s why there are no odds for this game yet.

Toronto lead the CFL in scoring (33.0 PPG) and rank second in points allowed (21.4 PPG). Ottawa are scoring 22.9 PPG (5th), but they allow 27.5 PPG (8th). The Redblacks are still having success on the ground (126.4 RYPG – 2nd), but the Argos are only allowing 79.6 RYPG (1st).

These teams have met once earlier this season. The Argos defeated the Redblacks (44-31) in Week 10 and the game easily went over the total. We have to wait until lineups are confirmed and odds are out, but sign-up to Sports Hub to find out who I’m taking on my CFL Week 19 predictions.

CFL Week 19 Predictions – Touchdown Scorers

I’m betting on James Butler to score an anytime touchdown for my CFL Week 19 predictions. Butler has been held out of the end zone in three consecutive games, but he’s playing well. In the lone H2H game against the Lions this season, Butler rushed for 118 yards and 1 TD on 21 carries.

Best Bet: James Butler to Score a Touchdown (-120)

CFL Week 19 Predictions – Player Props

I’m also going to bet on Butler to rush for over 62.5 rushing yards. The Lions are allowing 92.1 RYPG (4th). Butler has rushed for 63+ rushing yards in six of his last eight games. He rushed for 92 yards in Week 17 and 107 yards in Week 18. The Ti-Cats will lean on Butler to try and pull off the upset.
