Second-seeded Taylor Fritz recorded a 6-3, 7-6 (0) win over home favorite Alexander Zverev in the final of the BOSS Open on Sunday at Stuttgart, Germany.
Fritz fired 11 aces to defeat the top-seeded German for the fifth straight time and capture his first title of the year and ninth overall.
The American did not face a break point and won 88 percent of his first-serve points. He finished it off with a one-sided tiebreaker to win the match in 1 hour, 25 minutes.
Zverev was competing in his first grass-court final since 2017.

Canada’s Gabriel Diallo captured his first ATP Tour title with a 7-5, 7-6 (8) victory over Zizou Bergs of Belgium on Sunday at ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands.
Diallo, 23, fired nine aces and benefited from five double faults to dispatch Bergs in 1 hour, 58 minutes.
Like Diallo, Bergs also was bidding for his first title in his second final, after reaching one at Auckland earlier this year.
