2026 NFL Team Win Totals Predictions, Best Bets and Passes

NFL win totals can look straightforward. Pick a team, decide whether it will finish above or below the posted number, and move on.

The reality is more complicated. The same team may be listed a full win higher or lower depending on the available board, and the price attached to the bet can matter just as much as the total itself. That is especially true this season, with meaningful differences for teams such as Baltimore, Jacksonville, the Los Angeles Chargers, New England and San Francisco.

Kansas City over 10.5 is the strongest over at plus money. Seattle under 10.5 is the preferred under. Detroit over 10.5 and New England under 10.5 also deserve consideration, although both depend more heavily on getting the right price.

Once the season begins, injuries, schedule changes and weekly performance will reshape these preseason positions across the NFL hub. For now, the focus is narrower: which win totals still leave enough room to bet?

How to Read the 2026 NFL Win-Total Market

NFL win totals apply only to the 17-game regular season. Playoff results do not count.

An over 9.5 bet needs the team to win at least 10 games. An under 9.5 bet cashes with nine wins or fewer. Whole-number totals work differently because the wager can push. A team listed at 10 wins, for example, returns the stake if it finishes exactly 10-7.

The price changes the calculation again.

Kansas City over 10.5 at +115 carries a break-even probability of roughly 46.5%. New England under 10.5 at -145 needs to win about 59.2% of the time just to break even. The total may be identical, but one bettor is taking on far more price risk than the other.

A useful approach is to build a realistic range of outcomes first. Then compare that range with the posted total, account for the price and decide where the bet stops making sense. That relationship between projection, probability and price is central to NFL futures betting.

The difference between 9.5 and 10.5 can completely change the value of a wager. That is why shopping betting lines is part of the analysis rather than something done after a pick has already been made.

Baltimore and the Los Angeles Rams sit at the top of this board at 11.5 wins. Arizona has the lowest total at 3.5. Most of the likely playoff contenders are grouped between 9.5 and 10.5, which makes the half-win particularly valuable.

Those league-wide numbers only provide a starting point. Coaching changes, quarterback health, offensive-line continuity and roster depth vary considerably across the 32 NFL teams.

The bigger takeaway is that not every board is asking the same question.

TeamPrimary BoardAlternate Board
Arizona Cardinals3.54.5
Baltimore Ravens11.510.5
Jacksonville Jaguars9.58.5
Los Angeles Chargers10.59.5
New England Patriots10.59.5
New Orleans Saints7.58.5
San Francisco 49ers10.59.5

Those differences are large enough to change the bet.

New England under 10.5 can be reasonable. Under 9.5 is far less appealing. Jacksonville under 9.5 leaves room for a 9-8 finish, while under 8.5 does not.

The team may be the same. The wager is not.

Where the Market May Be Mispriced

Kansas City Chiefs Over 10.5 (+115): Best Over

Kansas City finished 6-11 last season, so asking the Chiefs to win at least 11 games may initially seem aggressive.

The record, however, was much worse than the underlying performance. Kansas City still finished with a plus-34 point differential and went 1-9 in one-score games. The season before, the Chiefs went 11-0 in those same situations.

Neither extreme should be treated as the new normal. Close-game records are noisy, and Kansas City is unlikely to repeat either one. Even a moderate move back toward the middle would give the Chiefs a much better chance of turning competitive performances into wins.

Patrick Mahomes’ health remains the most important variable. He underwent knee surgery after tearing his ACL and was cleared to return to training-camp work before the season.

That clearance is encouraging, but it does not settle everything. His mobility, workload and comfort absorbing contact still need to be monitored. Kansas City also plays in a division where Denver and the Los Angeles Chargers are both carrying high win totals.

The price keeps the over attractive. At +115, the bet only needs to win roughly 46.5% of the time to break even. Kansas City does not need a perfect season. It needs an 11-win season often enough to justify a number below 50%.

Best bet: Kansas City Chiefs over 10.5 wins (+115)

Playable range: Over 10.5 at +100 or better.

Pass condition: The total moves to 11.5, or the price becomes heavily juiced without clearer evidence that Mahomes has returned to his usual physical level.

This is not a bet on the Chiefs’ reputation. It is a bet that last season’s record overstated how far the team had fallen.

Seattle Seahawks Under 10.5 (+105): Best Under

Seattle is still one of the strongest teams in football.

The Seahawks went 14-3 with a league-best plus-191 point differential. Their defense remains deep, the overall structure is stable and last season’s success was not built on a handful of fluke results.

The under case is about the size of the number, not a lack of respect for the team.

To beat under 10.5, Seattle can still finish 10-7. That leaves plenty of room for another strong season. The question is whether the Seahawks are more likely to win 11 or more games than the market price suggests.

The schedule makes that harder. Beginning in Week 4, Seattle plays four of five games against teams that reached the previous postseason. After the Week 11 bye, the Seahawks face a demanding stretch that includes several road games, a short-week matchup and two late meetings with the Rams.

Seattle also went 6-3 in one-score games last season. That record is not wildly unsustainable, but it does leave room for a small step backward. A couple of close losses, combined with the tougher schedule, could turn a 12-win projection into 10.

At +105, the under carries a break-even probability of about 48.8%. That is a fair price for the possibility that an excellent team finishes with a very good record rather than another dominant one.

The risk is obvious. Seattle’s defense, roster depth and point differential are all strong enough to make the regression argument look foolish. Any meaningful change to the Seattle roster and schedule could move this projection back toward the over.

Best under: Seattle Seahawks under 10.5 wins (+105)

Playable range: Under 10.5 at +100 or better.

Pass condition: The total drops to 9.5. Losing the half-win would remove much of the appeal.

Detroit Lions Over 10.5 (-130): Secondary Over

Detroit’s 9-8 finish does not fully reflect how well the team played.

The Lions posted a plus-68 point differential and went 3-5 in one-score games. They do not need a massive improvement in overall performance to move from nine wins to 11. Better results in a few close games could be enough.

The schedule also helps. Detroit’s opponents combined for a losing record the previous season, and the early portion of the schedule gives the Lions a chance to build momentum before the more difficult stretches arrive.

The roster still looks stronger than that of a typical nine-win team. Jared Goff has an established group of playmakers around him, and the offense should remain productive.

The questions are up front and on defense. Offensive-line changes could affect the consistency of the running game and passing protection. The defense also needs to become more dependable if Detroit is going to win 11 games without relying on the offense every week.

The price is the main concern. At -130, the over needs to hit roughly 56.5% of the time to break even. That is not unreasonable, but it leaves less margin for error than the Kansas City bet.

Lean: Detroit Lions over 10.5 wins (-130)

Playable range: Prefer -125 or better. At -130, it is better suited to a smaller stake.

Main risk: Offensive-line transition and a defense that may struggle to support an 11-win pace.

Detroit’s early ranking in scoring, efficiency and turnover margin on the NFL statistics page should reveal whether the preseason case is holding up.

New England Patriots Under 10.5 (-145): A Number-Dependent Lean

New England’s 14-3 record was not empty. The Patriots finished with a plus-170 point differential and reached the championship game. They were one of the best teams in the league.

They also went 7-3 in one-score games, which leaves some room for the record to slide even if the overall level of play remains strong.

Drake Maye gives New England a high ceiling at quarterback. The offensive line is the more pressing concern, particularly after its problems in the final game of the season. If the protection becomes less reliable, the offense may have a harder time repeating last year’s consistency.

At 10.5, the under still allows New England to finish 10-7. That is important. A 10-win season would represent a meaningful decline from 14-3 while still leaving the Patriots in the playoff conversation.

At 9.5, that cushion disappears. The bet would then require a more severe drop.

Lean: New England Patriots under 10.5 wins (-145)

Playable range: Under 10.5 through approximately -150.

Pass condition: Any total of 9.5.

Once games begin, the relationship between New England’s record, point differential and conference position will be visible in the NFL standings. A strong record supported by a weaker differential would reinforce the under case, while another dominant margin would weaken it.

Regression Bets the Market Has Already Corrected

Denver Under 9.5 Is Not an Automatic Bet

Denver went 14-3 and finished 11-2 in one-score games. That type of record is unlikely to repeat.

It is also not a secret.

The market has already lowered Denver’s total to 9.5. The Broncos could lose four more games than they did last season and still cash the over with a 10-7 finish. They also return much of the roster that produced last year’s success.

The close-game record describes why Denver may decline. It does not prove the Broncos will fall below 10 wins.

Verdict: Pass Denver at 9.5.

Arizona Requires the 4.5, Not the 3.5

Arizona finished 3-14 with a minus-133 point differential and faces a difficult schedule. Six of the Cardinals’ first nine games are on the road, and the division includes three teams with legitimate playoff expectations.

There is a reasonable under argument, but the available number decides whether it is worth betting.

At 3.5, Arizona must finish with three wins or fewer. At 4.5, a four-win season also cashes the under. On a team expected to finish near the bottom of the league, that extra win is a major difference.

Verdict: Monitor Arizona under 4.5 at a reasonable price. Pass under 3.5.

Jacksonville Demonstrates Why the Total Comes First

Jacksonville went 13-4 with a plus-138 point differential last season.

At 9.5, an under bettor can still win if the Jaguars finish 9-8. At 8.5, the same record loses.

That may sound obvious, but it is exactly the type of difference that gets lost when bettors focus on the team instead of the wager. A Jacksonville decline is plausible. The question is how much decline the market is already requiring.

Verdict: Consider the under only at 9.5. Pass at 8.5.

Final 2026 NFL Win-Total Verdict

Kansas City over 10.5 at +115 is the strongest position on the board, provided the over remains available at plus money.

The Chiefs were more competitive than their 6-11 record suggests. Their positive point differential and 1-9 record in one-score games point toward improvement, while Patrick Mahomes’ return strengthens the most important part of the projection.

Seattle under 10.5 at +105 is the preferred under.

Seattle remains a championship-caliber team, but the bet still wins with a 10-7 record. A difficult schedule and even mild close-game regression give the under a realistic path without requiring the Seahawks to collapse.

Detroit over 10.5 is a smaller lean at -125 or better. New England under only works at 10.5; at 9.5, the value is largely gone.

Denver, Arizona and Jacksonville are useful reminders that a strong argument about a team does not always create a strong bet. The posted number has to leave enough room for the argument to matter.

Training-camp injuries and late market movement could still change several of these positions, so any final wager should account for the most recent information reflected in the current NFL picks.
