A busy Friday slate delivered four overtime finishes, sharp swings, and a handful of breakout performances across the league. Bettors tracked every shift through the updated numbers inside Odds & Scores.

Islanders 3, Mammoth 2 (OT)

Matthew Schaefer became the youngest player in NHL history to score an overtime goal in the regular season, lifting New York past Utah at 2:06 of the extra period. Emil Heineman and Jonathan Drouin also scored while David Rittich stopped 27 shots as the Islanders won their fourth straight.

Utah’s JJ Peterka and Dylan Guenther scored, but the Mammoth dropped their fourth game in five outings. Karel Vejmelka made 19 saves.

Capper Insight: Sas Insider leads the 7-day board with $3554, and their form angles matched New York’s surge — one of the top notes seen this week on the Picks Leaderboard.

Flyers 6, Blues 5 (SO)

Philadelphia erased two separate two-goal deficits and won in the shootout behind Trevor Zegras, who scored twice, added an assist, and delivered the deciding attempt. Christian Dvorak scored twice and Owen Tippett posted four points.

Jordan Kyrou, Jimmy Snuggerud, and Robert Thomas had multi-point nights for St. Louis. Cam Fowler reached the 500-point mark with a pair of assists.

Predators 2, Penguins 1 (OT)

Steven Stamkos scored 44 seconds into overtime to send Nashville past Pittsburgh in Stockholm in the opener of the NHL Global Series. Filip Forsberg scored in regulation and Juuse Saros made 16 saves as the Predators snapped a five-game slide.

Evgeni Malkin scored the lone Penguins goal. Arturs Silovs made 28 saves.

Capper Insight: Sports Hub – Free Picks is back on the board with $1809 this week, and they’ve leaned on teams similar to Nashville that show tightening defensive metrics — a trend they frequently discuss on the Handicappers page.

Hurricanes 4, Canucks 3 (OT)

Sebastian Aho ended it with 31 seconds left in overtime as Carolina won its fifth game in six. Andrei Svechnikov scored twice and added an assist, while Shayne Gostisbehere posted three helpers.

Elias Pettersson logged a goal and an assist for Vancouver. Kevin Lankinen made 34 saves.
