NHL roundup: High-flying Ducks win fifth straight

Sidney Crosby scored twice and Pittsburgh held off a Washington push after losing a three-goal lead. Bryan Rust produced the go-ahead goal in the third and added two assists.

Anthony Mantha and Connor Dewar also scored for Pittsburgh. Arturs Silovs made 28 saves.

Dylan Strome posted a goal and two assists, Tom Wilson scored for the fourth straight game, and Rasmus Sandin added a tally. Charlie Lindgren stopped 26 shots as Washington fell short one night after Alex Ovechkin recorded his 900th NHL goal.

Devils 4, Canadiens 3 (OT)

Jesper Bratt scored 1:33 into overtime to lift New Jersey past Montreal. The Devils earned their second win in three games despite falling behind early.

Cody Glass, Ondrej Palat and Timo Meier also scored. New Jersey sits at 2–3–0 since its eight-game win streak.

Kirby Dach, Jake Evans and Oliver Kapanen scored for Montreal, which played its fourth straight overtime game (2-0-2). Jakub Dobes made 24 saves.

Blues 3, Sabres 0

Joel Hofer stopped 28 shots for his third career shutout as St. Louis snapped Buffalo’s seven-game point streak.

Mathieu Joseph had a goal and two assists. Justin Faulk added a goal and an assist, and Nick Bjugstad scored as St. Louis earned only its second win in 10 games.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen allowed two goals on 16 shots for Buffalo. The Sabres surrendered one goal in each period and were shut out for the second time this season.

Bruins 3, Senators 2 (OT)

Pavel Zacha scored with 5.6 seconds left in overtime, and Boston secured its fifth straight win. The Bruins avenged their 7–2 loss to Ottawa in late October.

Sean Kuraly and Morgan Geekie also scored. Andrew Peeke had two assists. Joonas Korpisalo made 20 saves.

Claude Giroux had a goal and an assist for Ottawa, and Michael Amadio scored his third goal in four games.

Flyers 3, Predators 1

Matvei Michkov and Noah Cates scored in the second period, and Philadelphia earned its second straight road win. Travis Konecny added an empty-net goal, and Dan Vladar made 23 saves.

Ryan O’Reilly scored for Nashville, which has now dropped three straight and six of seven. Juuse Saros stopped 23 shots.

Panthers 5, Kings 2

Sam Reinhart celebrated his 30th birthday with the game-winning goal. Brad Marchand added two goals as Florida scored four unanswered to secure only its second road win of the season.

Sergei Bobrovsky made 24 saves for the two-time defending champions. Sam Bennett and Anton Lundell also scored.

Anze Kopitar and Corey Perry replied for Los Angeles, which has just one win in its last seven home games.

Lightning 6, Golden Knights 3

Nikita Kucherov and Brandon Hagel each scored twice and added an assist as Tampa Bay erased an early deficit. Dominic James scored his first NHL goal and added two assists. Andrei Vasilevskiy made 29 saves as the Lightning won for the sixth time in seven outings.

Ivan Barbashev had two goals and an assist for Vegas, and Mitch Marner posted a goal and two assists. Carl Lindbom stopped 21 of 26 shots.
