NCAA Tournament Dominates the Schedule

It’s the Round of 32 today in the NCAA tournament. There are eight games on the schedule and a spot in next weekend’s Sweet 16 is on the line. It’s also a huge hockey day and there is a ton of soccer, including a big day for MLS.

Here’s today’s schedule.

  1. Road to the Sweet 16: Getting to the Sweet 16 starts today. No. 7 Dayton takes on No. 2 Arizona in the West Region. Tip off is set for 12:45 p.m. ET. That kicks off a day full of eight games in the NCAA tournament. Our basketball handicappers will have hundreds of picks available all day long.
  1. Saturday NBA: Sports Hub basketball handicappers will also offer great picks for today’s NBA action. There are eight games on the schedule. Boston plays at Chicago beginning at 8 p.m. ET on the NBATV game.
  2. It’s a hockey Saturday: There are 11 games on the NHL schedule. Florida is at the New York Rangers in ABC’s primetime game starting at 8:00 p.m. ET.
  3. MLS: It’s Saturday in March and that means it’s a MLS weekend. There are 13 MLS matches on the schedule today. The New York Red Bulls will host Inter Miami CF and Lionel Messi. Messi is actually injured and will not play. Inter Miami leads the East Divison with a 3-1-1 record. New York is 2-1-1.
  4. No Ohtani today: There are 18 spring training games today in MLB. The Dodgers and Padres aren’t on the schedule as they return from South Korea. That means no Shohei Ohtani, which is probably good for him as he figures out his whole interpreter situation.
  5. UFC Fight Night: Amanda Ribas will face Rose Namajunas in the women’s flyweight main event tonight.
  6. Miami Open continues: The men’s and women’s tennis tours continue in Miami. Men’s No. 1 seed Carlos Alcaraz will play in the second round today.
  7. Valspar Championship: The 2024 Valspar Championship was suspended today due to weather. Stewart Cink is one of five golfers at the top of the leaderboard.
