Are you looking for some Premier League Matchweek 7 predictions? Look no further! With another weekend of EPL action on the horizon, it’s time for me to share my predictions and picks.

The action gets underway this Saturday, September 30, with Aston Villa hosting Brighton in the early kick-off. Super Sunday sees Brentford travel to Nottingham Forest, while Monday Night Football is a tasty London derby between Fulham and Chelsea.

I will provide my Matchweek 7 predictions a little later. First, we need to recap Matchweek 6 and discuss the latest odds for the upcoming fixtures. Ready? Let’s go!

What Happened During the Previous Matchweek?

Before you lock in your Matchweek 7 predictions, be sure to study the results from the previous round of fixtures. Matchweek 6 served up plenty of eye-catching results, including upsets, epic draws, and record-breaking wins.

PREMIER LEAGUE MATCHWEEK 6 RESULTS

  • Manchester City 2-0 Nottingham Forest
  • Crystal Palace 0-0 Fulham
  • Luton Town 1-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers
  • Brentford 1-3 Everton
  • Burnley 0-1 Manchester United
  • Chelsea 0-1 Aston Villa
  • Arsenal 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur
  • Liverpool 3-1 West Ham United
  • Brighton & Hove Albion 3-1 Bournemouth
  • Sheffield United 0-8 Newcastle United

The final clash of the round was undoubtedly the most eventful, as Newcastle crushed Sheffield United 8-0, with a record eight different players finding the back of the net.

Elsewhere, Arsenal and Tottenham produced a hugely entertaining North London Derby, sharing the points in a four-goal thriller. Three other games dished up four goals, with Liverpool and Brighton scoring three en route to victory.

You can find a full recap of last weekend’s action in my Premier League Matchweek 6 review, covering all key EPL trends. Feel free to use those trends to aid your Matchweek 7 predictions.

Matchweek 7 Premier League Odds

It’s almost time to check out my Matchweek 7 predictions. Before you dive into my recommended Premier League bets for this weekend, we need to go over the odds for the upcoming round of fixtures.

PREMIER LEAGUE MATCHWEEK 7 ODDS

  • Aston Villa (+137) vs. Brighton & Hove Albion (+160)
  • Bournemouth (+425) vs. Arsenal (-188)
  • Everton (-167) vs. Luton Town (+425)
  • Manchester United (-175) vs. Crystal Palace (+450)
  • Newcastle United (-334) vs. Burnley (+750)
  • West Ham United (-211) vs. Sheffield United (+500)
  • Wolverhampton Wanderers (+700) vs. Manchester City (-300)
  • Tottenham Hotspur (+180) vs. Liverpool (+115)
  • Nottingham Forest (+175) vs. Brentford (+160)
  • Fulham (+240) vs. Chelsea (+105)

As you can see, Everton, Manchester United, Newcastle, and West Ham are the heavy home favorites this weekend. Aston Villa is also favored to triumph on home soil, although Brighton is expected to push the Villains all the way.

Arsenal and Manchester City are the heavy away favorites, with Liverpool, Brentford, and Chelsea also expected to win on the road. That said, Tottenham, Nottingham Forest, and Fulham will fancy their chances of upsetting the odds.

Without further ado, let’s get stuck into my Matchweek 7 predictions. Now that you’re up to speed on last weekend’s results and this weekend’s odds, you are more than ready to lock in your Premier League picks.

Premier League Matchweek 7 Predictions and Picks

From a betting perspective, there are plenty of intriguing Premier League matchups to target this weekend. With heavy favorites, big underdogs, and tight contests on the cards, we should be able to land a tasty profit.

My Matchweek 7 predictions concern two Saturday clashes and the Super Sunday showdown between Forest and Brentford. If the recent form guide is anything to go by, one of those games should be a straightforward home win.

Okay, I’ve made you wait long enough. Here are my Premier League Matchweek 7 predictions and picks, with some useful statistics sprinkled in for good measure.

West Ham United vs. Sheffield United Prediction

Sheffield United endured a humiliating 8-0 thrashing at the hands of Newcastle last weekend, facing a barrage of 22 shots while managing a solitary attempt on target. As a result, the Blades find themselves at rock bottom of the Premier League after six matches.

In fact, Paul Heckingbottom’s men have failed to taste victory in the league this season, recording one draw and five losses. The Blades also possess the worst defensive record in the division, averaging 2.8 goals against per game this term.

On the flip side, West Ham occupies seventh place in the standings after taking 10 points from a possible 18. Since the Hammers have already seen off Chelsea, Brighton, and Luton this season, I’m backing them to make light work of struggling Sheff Utd.

Best Bet: West Ham United (-211)

Aston Villa vs. Brighton & Hove Albion Prediction

Sixth-placed Aston Villa trails third-placed Brighton by three points in the Premier League table, suggesting that Saturday’s showdown will be an entertaining encounter battle between two attacking teams.

The Seagulls are the top scorers in the division, having netted 18 goals in six outings (three goals per game). Thanks to last weekend’s 3-1 victory over Bournemouth, Roberto De Zerbi’s men have bagged over 2.5 goals in five of their six league clashes this term.

On the other hand, the Villains have won four of their last five Premier League matches, scoring over 2.5 goals in three of those victories. When you couple Villa’s form with Brighton’s recent record, all the signings point towards a high-scoring thriller here.

Nottingham Forest vs. Brentford Prediction

Nottingham Forest and Brentford are separated by a solitary point in the standings, with the Tricky Trees holding a narrow advantage over the Bees. It is also worth noting that both sides have conceded nine goals this season.

Steve Cooper’s side has been immense on home soil since gaining promotion in 2022, losing just five of their 21 Premier League games at the City Ground. Meanwhile, Brentford has suffered eight defeats in 21 away matches during the same period.

Although Brentford heads into Monday Night Football as the marginal favorite, Thomas Frank’s men have managed to win just one of their six league outings this term. With the home-field advantage on their side, Cooper’s men will back themselves to upset the odds.

Lock In Your Matchweek 7 Predictions and Enjoy the Action

We may only be six weeks into the season, but the Premier League has already served up tons of surprises. High-profile clubs like Man Utd and Chelsea are struggling, while teams such as Brighton and Aston Villa are battling to break into the top four.

Man City, Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal all remain unbeaten in 2023-24. By contrast, Sheff Utd, Burnley, Luton, and Bournemouth are still waiting to taste victory in the Premier League this term.

I will be back with more Premier League betting advice in due course. Until then, make your Matchweek 7 predictions, lock in your picks, and enjoy another exciting weekend of EPL action.
