Are you ready for some Premier League Matchweek 14 predictions? The EPL resumes this Saturday, December 2, with all 20 teams in action over the course of the weekend.

Believe it or not, the top four teams are separated by just two points after 13 games. Arsenal leads Manchester City by a solitary point, while Liverpool and Aston Villa are locked on 28 points.

I’ve loved betting on the Premier League this season, so let’s keep the winning picks coming in. Before we get to my Matchweek 14 predictions, we need to look back at last weekend and assess the latest odds.

What Happened During Matchweek 13?

In keeping with the season so far, Matchweek 13 did not disappoint. Only one game produced under 1.5 goals, while eight clashes served up over 2.5 goals. Let’s take a closer look at the Matchweek 13 results.

PREMIER LEAGUE RESULTS (MATCHWEEK 13)

  • Manchester City 1-1 Liverpool
  • Sheffield United 1-3 Bournemouth
  • Nottingham Forest 2-3 Brighton & Hove Albion
  • Burnley 1-2 West Ham United
  • Luton Town 2-1 Crystal Palace
  • Newcastle United 4-1 Chelsea
  • Brentford 0-1 Arsenal
  • Tottenham 1-2 Aston Villa
  • Everton 0-3 Manchester United
  • Fulham 3-2 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Liverpool came from behind to hold Man City to a draw at the Etihad, enabling Arsenal to move to the summit after defeating Brentford. Elsewhere, Aston Villa leapfrogged Tottenham, while Newcastle thrashed Chelsea.

At the opposite end of the table, Burnley suffered a sixth successive defeat to remain in last place. On a brighter note, wins for Bournemouth and Luton saw them move clear of the relegation zone.

Matchweek 14 Premier League Odds

I will be sharing my Matchweek 14 predictions very soon, but I want to discuss the odds first. The bookies have dished up some interesting prices this week, so be sure to evaluate the odds before you lock in your Matchweek 14 predictions.

PREMIER LEAGUE ODDS (MATCHWEEK 14)

  • Arsenal (-334) vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers (+800)
  • Brentford (-211) vs. Luton Town (+550)
  • Burnley (-125) vs. Sheffield United (+333)
  • Nottingham Forest (+180) vs. Everton (+150)
  • Newcastle United (-106) vs. Manchester United (+275)
  • Bournemouth (+250) vs. Aston Villa (-106)
  • Chelsea (-143) vs. Brighton & Hove Albion (+333)
  • Liverpool (-400) vs. Fulham (+900)
  • West Ham United (+100) vs. Crystal Palace (+260)
  • Manchester City (-350) vs. Tottenham Hotspur (+750)

As you can see, there are several heavy home favorites this weekend. Arsenal, Brentford, Burnley, Newcastle, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City all have minus odds, with West Ham also expected to win on home soil.

The only road favorites are Everton and Aston Villa, although the bookies can barely separate Everton and Nottingham Forest. If you’re feeling lucky, backing Fulham (+900), Wolves (+800) or Spurs (+750) to upset the odds could prove to be very profitable.

Premier League Matchweek 14 Predictions

I landed three of my five Premier League picks last weekend, giving me a win ratio of 60%. The over 2.5 goals bet was kind to me during Matchweek 13, as Newcastle vs. Chelsea and Nottingham Forest vs. Brighton delivered.

If recent results are anything to go by, it makes sense to explore the goal markets again. A total of 404 goals have been scored in the Premier League this season, producing an average of 3.11 goals per game.

Anyway, let’s dive into my Premier League Matchweek 14 predictions. I’ll start with a relatively obvious pick before previewing two of the weekend’s standout clashes.

Arsenal vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers Prediction

Arsenal heads into Matchweek 14 on the back of a 6-0 victory over Lens in the Champions League. Remarkably, the Gunners scored five goals before half time, with a Jorginho penalty completing the thrashing after the break.

Mikel Arteta’s men have now won each of their last four matches across all competitions, scoring 12 goals while conceding just once. When you look at the bigger picture, the frontrunners have lost just one of their 13 league games this season.

Although Wolves have picked up several positive results in recent weeks, Gary O’Neil’s side will likely struggle to get anything from Saturday’s trip to North London. With that in mind, I’m backing Arsenal to claim all three points.

Best Bet: Arsenal (-334)

Newcastle United vs. Manchester United Prediction

Newcastle and Manchester United will both be eager to get back on track following disappointing Champions League draws in midweek. The Magpies pushed PSG all the way before conceding deep into stoppage time, while the Red Devils threw away two leads against Galatasaray.

In the Premier League, however, both teams are in excellent form. While Eddie Howe’s men have lost just one of their last nine league games, Erik ten Hag’s boys have won five of their previous six.

That said, Man Utd will struggle to extend their hot streak, as the Magpies have won each of their last five league games at St. James’ Park. For that reason, I recommend exploring the goal markets for this matchup.

Manchester City vs. Tottenham Hotspur Prediction

Tottenham enjoyed a hugely impressive start to the season, picking up eight wins and two draws to notch a 10-game unbeaten run. Since then, however, Ange Postecoglou’s side has suffered three successive defeats.

To make matters worse for Spurs, they took the lead against Chelsea, Wolves and Aston Villa before conceding a combined total of eight goals. Plus, the club possesses one of the longest injury lists in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Man City came from 2-0 down to beat RB Leipzig 3-2 in the Champions League on Tuesday, extending their unbeaten streak to eight matches. Pep Guardiola’s men have now won eight of their nine home games this season, scoring 26 goals in the process.

Finalize Your Matchweek 14 Predictions

Now that you’ve digested my thoughts, it’s time for you to lock in your Matchweek 14 predictions. I’ve given you my Arsenal vs. Wolves pick, but you will need to sign in to access the full range of recommended bets.

Several matches look set to have a big impact at both ends of the table this weekend. While the frontrunners have an opportunity to strengthen their title bids, the relegation strugglers could fall deeper into the drop zone.

We have a busy festive period on the horizon, with a full round of midweek fixtures starting on Tuesday, December 5. If you enjoyed my Matchweek 14 predictions, be sure to return for more Premier League predictions.
