Devils 3, Hurricanes 2 (2OT)

Simon Nemec scored 2:36 into the second overtime to lift New Jersey past Carolina and cut the Hurricanes’ series lead to 2-1. After blowing a two-goal third-period advantage, the Devils outshot Carolina 9-2 in the first OT before finally breaking through.

Nico Hischier and Dawson Mercer scored for New Jersey while Jacob Markstrom made 25 saves. Seth Jarvis and Sebastian Aho tallied in the third period for the Hurricanes. Frederik Andersen turned away 34 shots in the loss.

Oilers 7, Kings 4

Evan Bouchard scored twice, including the game-winner during a furious third-period rally, as Edmonton battled back to beat Los Angeles in Game 3. The Oilers trimmed the Kings’ series lead to 2-1.

Connor Brown scored twice, while Connor McDavid posted three points and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins added a goal for Edmonton. Adrian Kempe, Trevor Moore, Drew Doughty, and Kevin Fiala scored for the Kings, who let a 4-3 lead slip away late in the third.
