Quarterback Kyle McCord’s time with his hometown Eagles was short, with Philadelphia waiving the rookie just months after picking him in the sixth round of the NFL draft.
NFL teams have until 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday to reduce their active rosters to 53 players.
A native of nearby Mount Laurel, N.J., McCord played every snap of the Eagles’ 19-17 preseason win over the New York Jets Friday but largely did not impress throughout the preseason.
McCord’s time appeared to run out when the Eagles trade for Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Howell on Sunday to add depth in the wake of Tanner McKee’s injury.
McCord, 22, played college football at Ohio State and Syracuse.
