Mets 5, Rangers 2 (10): Alonso Ends the Skid

Pete Alonso launched a three-run walk-off homer in the 10th inning as New York snapped its eight-game losing streak.

After Juan Soto was walked intentionally, Alonso crushed a 1-1 sinker into the right-field seats. The Mets (77-73) stayed 1.5 games ahead of the Giants for the NL’s final wild-card slot. Texas (79-71) saw its six-game win streak snapped.

Mariners 11, Angels 2: Raleigh Matches Mantle

Cal Raleigh smashed his 54th homer, tying Mickey Mantle’s 1961 record for most by a switch-hitter, and the Mariners surged into sole possession of the AL West lead.

George Kirby fanned 14 over 6 1/3 innings as Seattle (9 straight wins) stayed hot. The Angels got homers from Christian Moore and Oswald Peraza, but Kyle Hendricks gave up nine runs in 3 1/3 innings.

Royals 10, Phillies 3: Perez Reaches Milestones

Salvador Perez drove in five runs, homering again after a two-homer Saturday, lifting KC past Philadelphia.

Los Angeles maintained a 2.5-game NL West lead over San Diego.

Braves 8, Astros 3: Albies Powers the Turnaround

Ozzie Albies drove in three runs, including a two-run single in the fifth that put Atlanta ahead for good.

Hunter Stratton (1-1) earned the win in relief, while Houston’s Framber Valdez lost for the sixth time in his last seven decisions.
