If you’re searching for the best 2024 Australian Open quarterfinals picks, you’ve certainly come to the right place. Fear not – the SportsHub tennis experts have got you covered!

In both the men’s and women’s singles events, three of the four quarterfinal matchups are set in stone. Big-name players like Novak Djokovic, Daniil Medvedev, Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff have punched their ticket to the last eight, but who will join them?

Keep reading to discover my Australian Open quarterfinals picks and predictions. Let’s begin by checking out the lineup before working our way through the rest.

2024 Australian Open Quarterfinal Lineup

The quarterfinals are scheduled to get underway on Tuesday, January 23. The men’s singles quarterfinals will be spread across two days, while the women’s singles quarterfinals will all take place on the same day.

Before I reveal my Australian Open quarterfinals picks, we need to assess the lineup and evaluate the odds for each confirmed matchup.

2024 AO MEN’S SINGLES QUARTERFINAL LINEUP

  • Novak Djokovic (-1000) vs. Taylor Fritz (+600)
  • Jannik Sinner (-400) vs. Andrey Rublev (+300)
  • Hubert Hurkacz (TBC) vs. Daniil Medvedev (TBC)
  • TBC vs. TBC

Unsurprisingly, the bookies expect Novak Djokovic to make light work of Taylor Fritz. Jannik Sinner is favored to overcome Andrey Rublev, but we are still waiting for the odds for Hubert Hurkacz vs. Daniil Medvedev.

The fourth men’s singles quarterfinal will see the winner of Alexander Zverev vs. Cameron Norrie take on the winner of Miomir Kecmanovic vs. Carlos Alcaraz.

2024 AO WOMEN’S SINGLES QUARTERFINAL LINEUP

  • Barbora Krejcikova (+500) vs. Aryna Sabalenka (-834)
  • Marta Kostyuk (+600) vs. Coco Gauff (-1000)
  • Linda Noskova (-223) vs. Dayana Yastremska (+175)
  • TBC vs. TBC

With Iga Swiatek out of the picture, Aryna Sabalenka is now the bookies’ favorite to win the women’s singles event. The defending AO champion is expected to ease past Barbora Krejcikova, while Coco Cauff and Linda Noskova are also favored to progress.

The remaining women’s singles quarterfinal matchup will see the winner of Jasmine Paolini vs. Anna Kalinskaya face the winner of Qinwen Zheng vs. Oceane Dodin.

Best Australian Open Quarterfinals Picks

Across the men’s and women’s singles events, six of the eight quarterfinal matchups have been determined. I have decided to take an in-depth look at three standout clashes, all of which offer exciting betting opportunities.

The clash between Djokovic and Fritz is destined to be a hugely entertaining encounter, while Sinner and Rublev will also be intriguing. I also like the look of Sabalenka’s showdown with Krejcikova, which is arguably the most eye-catching matchup in the women’s singles event.

Without further ado, here are my 2024 Australian Open quarterfinals picks and predictions. Let’s get this show on the road!

Novak Djokovic vs. Taylor Fritz Prediction

It’s safe to say that Djokovic’s pursuit of a record-extending 11th Australian Open title is going to plan. On Sunday, the 36-year-old thrashed Adrian Mannarino 6-0, 6-0, 6-3 to book his place in the last eight, underlining his dominance.

Fritz is the man charged with stopping Djokovic, who has won four of the previous five AO titles. It is worth noting, however, that Fritz has never made it past the quarterfinals of a major tournament, and this is his first appearance in the AO QFs.

There is no denying that Fritz is developing into a top player, but the #12 seed will have to be at his absolute best to overcome the GOAT. Having defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas (#7) last time out, Fritz will fancy his chances of upsetting the odds once again.

Jannik Sinner vs. Andrey Rublev Prediction

This matchup brings together the #4 seed (Sinner) and the #5 seed (Rublev). Despite their relatively even rankings, Sinner is heavily favored to beat Rublev.

In the previous round, Sinner secured a straight-sets victory over Karen Khachanov. Meanwhile, Rublev was pushed all the way by Alex de Minaur, coming from two sets down to eventually punch his ticket to the quarterfinals.

Let’s not forget that Sinner reached the Wimbledon semifinals last year. The Italian youngster is now among the most feared opponents on the ATP Tour, so I’m backing him to get the better of a fatigued Rublev this time around.

Best Bet: Jannik Sinner (-400)

Barbora Krejcikova vs. Aryna Sabalenka Prediction

The last of my Australian Open quarterfinals picks concerns the women’s singles clash between Krejcikova and Sabalenka. Naturally, Sabalenka is favored to reach the semifinals, but Krejcikova will back herself to give the reigning champ a run for her money.

That said, Krejcikova has yet to face a seeded player at this year’s AO. Sure, the Czech Republic international has produced some impressive displays, but she hasn’t been tested by the top players in the event.

As for Sabalenka, she has cruised into the last eight without dropping a set. In fact, the Belarusian has only lost 11 games in four matches in Melbourne, putting her in pole position to defend her AO crown.

I don’t know about you, but I’m super excited for the quarterfinals. The men’s singles event has pretty much gone to plan so far, but the women’s singles event appears to be wide open as we head into the business end of the tournament.
