Chengdu Open – Tabilo Wins Third Career Title

Chilean qualifier Alejandro Tabilo capped a dream week by saving two championship points and defeating top seed Lorenzo Musetti 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (5) to win the Chengdu Open.

It marked Tabilo’s third ATP Tour title and his first of the season. The 28-year-old became just the second qualifier to lift a trophy in 2025, joining Jenson Brooksby, who won in Houston this past April.

Tabilo’s path wasn’t flawless — he struck 29 winners to Musetti’s 37 while committing 44 unforced errors to the Italian’s 23. But his clutch play at 5-6 in the deciding set, fending off two match points before storming back from 4-1 down in the tiebreak, sealed his victory.

Hangzhou Open – Bublik Completes Perfect Week

No. 3 seed Alexander Bublik capped his week in Hangzhou with a straight-sets 7-6 (4), 7-6 (4) win over French qualifier Valentin Royer.

The Kazakhstani star set a personal record with his fourth title of 2025, joining Carlos Alcaraz (seven) as the only men to claim four or more trophies this season. It was also the eighth career title for Bublik, who did not drop a set all week.

He fired 21 aces in the final and saved both break points he faced during the 1-hour, 51-minute match. Royer, meanwhile, saw his impressive run as a qualifier result in a leap of 13 spots to a career-best ranking of No. 75.
