Holger Rune’s Stockholm campaign ended abruptly due to injury, while Daniil Medvedev and Casper Ruud each powered through to championship matches on Saturday’s ATP slate.

Nordic Open – Stockholm, Sweden

Top-seeded Holger Rune was forced to retire with a leg injury in his semifinal against fourth seed Ugo Humbert. Rune won the opening set 6-4 and was level at 2-2 in the second when he pulled up sharply, clutching his lower leg. After receiving treatment, he could not continue, giving Humbert passage to his 10th ATP final.

Humbert hit 12 winners to seven unforced errors before Rune’s withdrawal. He will face Norway’s second seed Casper Ruud, who advanced with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over No. 3 seed Denis Shapovalov. Ruud won 83 percent of his first-serve points in a clean performance, avenging a February loss to Shapovalov in the Dallas Open final.

Capper Insight: Humbert’s 10-for-10 hold record this week positions him as a slight value favorite in live markets, though Ruud’s consistency on serve makes total games over a sharp play on Odds & Scores.

Almaty Open – Kazakhstan

Second seed Daniil Medvedev fought through early serving struggles to defeat Australia’s James Duckworth 6-7 (10), 6-3, 6-2 and advance to the Almaty Open final.

Medvedev, seeking his first title since 2023, overcame eight double faults—six in the opening set—and finished with 39 winners against 15 unforced errors. The former World No. 1 is appearing in his seventh final since the start of last year.

He’ll face No. 8 seed Corentin Moutet, who beat sixth seed Alex Michelsen 7-5, 6-4 to reach his first ATP Tour final. Moutet converted four of nine break points in the straight-sets victory.

Capper Insight: Medvedev’s deep-run fatigue could favor Moutet on alternative handicap lines, but straight-set backers will eye the Russian’s 80% second-serve points won in sets two and three.

European Open – Brussels, Belgium

No. 2 seed Felix Auger-Aliassime continued his strong indoor form with a 7-6 (2), 6-4 victory over Belgian wild card Raphael Collignon to reach the European Open final. The Canadian won 74% of service points and faced no break points while tallying his 40th tour-level win of 2025.

He’ll meet Jiri Lehecka, the third seed from the Czech Republic, who advanced with a 7-6 (3), 7-6 (7) win over France’s Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard. Lehecka converted key points late in both tiebreaks to move into his third final of the year.

Capper Insight: Auger-Aliassime’s hold dominance and Lehecka’s tiebreak resilience point to a tight matchup that could favor live-betting opportunities on set spreads and over 23.5 total games on Picks Leaderboard.
