Munar, Fonseca Advance as Canadians Retire in Basel

Unseeded Jaume Munar of Spain and Joao Fonseca of Brazil advanced to the semifinals of the Swiss Indoors Basel on Friday, as both of their Canadian opponents retired midway through their quarterfinal matches.
