Alabama, Georgia and Ole Miss controlled their matchups with veteran efficiency.

Atticus Sappington drilled a 39-yard field goal with three seconds left as Oregon escaped in the rain. The Ducks never trailed until 1:51 remained, when Mark Gronowski scored on fourth-and-goal for Iowa.
Oregon responded with a 10-play, 54-yard drive. Dante Moore threw for 112 yards, while the Ducks ran for 261 yards. Noah Whittington led with 118 yards.
Gronowski threw for 138 yards and ran for a score. Iowa was limited to 140 rushing yards.
No. 1 Ohio State 34, Purdue 10
Julian Sayin threw for 303 yards and a touchdown. CJ Donaldson ran for two scores. The Buckeyes handled Purdue after falling behind early.
Jeremiah Smith caught 10 passes for 137 yards with an early touchdown. Purdue’s quarterbacks combined for just 94 passing yards. Ohio State outgained Purdue 473-186.
No. 2 Indiana 27, Penn State 24
Omar Cooper Jr. made a toe-tap touchdown grab with 36 seconds left as Indiana completed a comeback in Happy Valley. Fernando Mendoza threw for 218 yards and ran for another score.
The Hoosiers improved to 10-0. Charlie Becker added 118 receiving yards. Penn State lost its sixth straight despite rallying from a 20-7 deficit. Nicholas Singleton scored three times.
No. 3 Texas A&M 38, No. 22 Missouri 17
Marcel Reed threw two touchdowns and Rueben Owens II rushed for 102 yards and two scores as Texas A&M improved to 9-0.
KC Concepcion and Ashton Bethel-Roman added touchdown receptions. Missouri’s Jamal Roberts and Ahmad Hardy each ran for more than 100 yards. Freshman QB Matt Zollers struggled, completing 7 of 22 with two fumbles.
No. 4 Alabama 20, LSU 9
Ty Simpson threw for 277 yards and a touchdown as Alabama controlled LSU in Tuscaloosa. His strike to Ryan Williams late in the first half pushed the lead to 17-3.
LSU benched Garrett Nussmeier in the third. Backup Michael Van Buren couldn’t spark the offense. LSU failed to score a touchdown.
No. 5 Georgia 41, Mississippi State 21
Gunner Stockton threw for 264 yards and three touchdowns as Georgia rolled. Nate Frazier ran for 181 yards and a score. Noah Thomas added a receiving touchdown.
Mississippi State used two quarterbacks. Kamario Taylor ran for three touchdowns after Blake Shapen left with injury.
No. 6 Ole Miss 49, The Citadel 0
Trinidad Chambliss threw for 333 yards and three touchdowns. Kewan Lacy scored three times in the first half. Ole Miss allowed only 106 yards.
The Citadel attempted just eight passes.
No. 8 Texas Tech 29, No. 7 BYU 7
Cameron Dickey ran for 121 yards and a touchdown. Behren Morton threw for 219 yards and a touchdown as Texas Tech beat unbeaten BYU.
The Red Raiders outgained BYU 368-255. Chase Roberts scored for the Cougars, who suffered their first loss.

Navy managed only one touchdown — a late score by Elijah Washington-Baker.
Wake Forest 16, No. 14 Virginia 9
Connor Calvert kicked three field goals and Carlos Hernandez returned a punt 88 yards for the night’s only touchdown. Wake Forest earned its first win over Virginia since 2021.
Virginia lost starting QB Chandler Morris to injury. Daniel Kaelin threw for 145 yards in relief.
Cal 29, No. 15 Louisville 26 (OT)
Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele threw a fourth-down touchdown on the final play of the game as Cal pulled off the upset in overtime. Jacob De Jesus caught 16 passes for 158 yards.
Louisville had taken a 26-23 lead on a field goal in OT. Keyjuan Brown rushed for 136 yards.
No. 16 Vanderbilt 45, Auburn 38 (OT)
Diego Pavia threw three touchdown passes and ran for another as Vanderbilt battled past Auburn. He finished with 377 passing yards and 112 rushing yards.
Eli Stowers and Tre Richardson each went over 120 receiving yards. Auburn QBs Ashton Daniels and Cam Coleman combined for 286 yards and four touchdowns.
No. 18 Miami 38, Syracuse 10
Carson Beck threw for 247 yards and accounted for two touchdowns as Miami won at home. Keionte Scott added a pick-six.
Syracuse mustered only 85 passing yards from starter Rickie Collins.
Wisconsin 13, No. 23 Washington 10
Freshman Carter Smith entered for the injured Danny O’Neil and led the tying and winning drives in the snow. Smith rushed for 47 yards.
Wisconsin’s defense held Washington to 10 points despite 61 rushing yards from Demond Williams Jr.
