The stage is set in South Williamsport, Pa. Taiwan and Las Vegas, Nev., will meet on Sunday in the 2025 Little League Baseball World Series final after each captured their respective brackets.

The Asia-Pacific champions from Tung-Yaun Little League held off Aruba 1-0 in the International bracket, while Summerlin South Little League of Nevada stunned Fairfield, Conn., 8-2 in the United States bracket.

Taiwan, which has 17 World Series titles but none since 1996, is seeking redemption after losing the 2024 final to Florida. Nevada, meanwhile, aims to secure the first LLBWS crown in the state’s history.

Taiwan 1, Aruba 0

Taiwan leaned on its pitching depth, with Liu Wei-Heng tossing 5 1/3 innings of scoreless baseball before Chen Qi-Sheng recorded the final two outs. The lone run came in the third inning after Chen Shi-Hong walked, advanced on a passed ball and single, then scored on a fielding error.

Aruba threatened late, placing runners on second and third with one out in the sixth, but Chen slammed the door with a clutch strikeout to preserve the win.

Nevada 8, Connecticut 2

Garrett Gallegos delivered a signature performance, striking out seven batters in five innings while also blasting a solo home run. He added a single and scored during Nevada’s three-run first inning, which set the tone early.

Connecticut briefly closed the gap with a fourth-inning RBI, but Nevada broke things open with four runs in the sixth, highlighted by Cutter Ricafort’s two-run single.
