Giants 6, Brewers 5 – San Francisco Stays Hot with Late Rally

Christian Koss scored the go-ahead run when Christian Yelich dropped a flyball in the eighth inning, lifting the Giants past the Brewers for their third win in four games. Tyler Rogers picked up the win, while Tyler Alexander took the loss.

San Francisco got home runs from Mike Yastrzemski and Matt Chapman and improved to 17-9, second place in the NL West.

Mariners 4, Red Sox 3 – Woo Dominates, Mariners Hold On

Bryan Woo struck out eight and Seattle scored twice in each of the first two innings to outlast Boston. Mitch Garver added a two-run double, while J.P. Crawford and Leo Rivas recorded two hits apiece.

Boston’s Alex Bregman homered in a losing effort.

White Sox 3, Twins 0 (7 innings) – Smith, Sox End Skid

Rookie Shane Smith earned his first career win as Chicago snapped a 14-game losing streak at Target Field with a rain-shortened shutout. Lenyn Sosa and Miguel Vargas each homered.

Chris Paddack suffered the loss for Minnesota, which mustered just four hits.

Royals 7, Rockies 4 (Game 1) – Kansas City Bats Stay Hot

Kyle Isbel had three RBIs and Salvador Perez drove in two more as Kansas City took the doubleheader opener. Cole Ragans left early but the bullpen delivered six scoreless innings to secure the win.

Hunter Goodman and Jordan Beck homered for the Rockies.


Royals 6, Rockies 2 (Game 2) – Kansas City Completes Sweep

Michael Lorenzen allowed one run over six innings and Salvador Perez added three more hits as the Royals completed a sweep. Jordan Beck slugged two solo homers for Colorado but it wasn’t enough.


Orioles 2, Nationals 1 – Baltimore Salvages Finale

Cade Povich tossed 6 2/3 strong innings and Baltimore beat Washington to avoid a sweep. Ryan O’Hearn and Cedric Mullins delivered RBIs for the Orioles.

MacKenzie Gore pitched well for the Nationals, allowing just two runs over six innings.
