NBA roundup: Raptors blow out Jimmy Butler-less Warriors

Tuesday’s slate had everything bettors track — explosive scoring, depth impact, bad beats, and a couple of fourth-quarter flips. Immanuel Quickley dropped 40 in the Raptors’ highest-scoring night of the season, Utah pulled off a late comeback, and the Bulls dismantled a hot Clippers team in a rout. Injuries made a real impact again, particularly with Miami and Philly adjusting lineups. If you were betting overs or looking for road dog value, there were chances to cash — but not without some sweat.

Top Takeaways

  • Raptors offense blew up without Butler defending — 145 points on 59.3% shooting, led by Quickley’s 40 and a 41-point opening quarter.
  • Second-half swing in Denver — Lakers outscored Nuggets 58-36 after halftime, holding Jamal Murray to just two in the second.
  • George + Nurkic carried the Jazz, who came back late to knock off Minnesota in a game full of high-leverage possessions.
  • Houston leaned on depth, defense late, holding Spurs to 6-of-37 from deep after the first quarter in a sneaky comeback spot.
  • Chicago hit everything from deep, burying 25 threes to crush LA and cash early for bettors who grabbed the plus-points.
  • Philly’s offense still broken without Embiid + PG, and Maxey’s inefficiency continues to haunt tight ATS spots.

NBA Game Recaps

Scoring was up, defense was optional, and several teams flipped the script late. Tuesday’s NBA slate offered up a handful of statement wins and betting inflection points — especially in games where pace and bench scoring swung outcomes. For bettors, the early edge came from blowouts (Toronto, Chicago), while late-game execution decided things in Utah and Houston. Availability once again proved critical with stars missing in Philly and Golden State, while under-the-radar contributors helped tip the scales in a few spots.

Here’s a full rundown of what mattered in every game — with angles bettors should care about.

Trends, Pro Picks, and Live Edges

Raptors vs Warriors Recap: Toronto wins 145-127

Immanuel Quickley erupted for a career-high-tying 40 points on an absurd 11-of-13 shooting night, while Scottie Barnes chipped in 26 as the Raptors lit up Golden State’s defense. Toronto connected on nearly 60% from the field and a scorching 61.8% from three.

The game flipped early — Toronto ran out to a 41-28 first quarter lead against a Warriors team missing Jimmy Butler (torn ACL). The Raptors pushed the margin to 30 at one point. Golden State made a late push behind Buddy Hield (25) and Jonathan Kuminga (20), trimming it to single digits, but Toronto’s early offensive avalanche made the outcome a formality.

Lakers vs Nuggets Recap: Los Angeles wins 115-107

Luka Doncic powered the Lakers with a dominant triple-double — 38 points, 13 boards, 10 assists — and LA rallied from 16 down to take down Denver on the road. LeBron added 19 and Marcus Smart posted 15 in a balanced effort.

This game turned fast. The Nuggets led most of the first half, but Jamal Murray was shut down in the second, scoring just two points as Denver got outscored 58-36 after halftime. Deandre Ayton exited at the break (eye), but the Lakers still found answers defensively and controlled tempo late.

Suns vs 76ers Recap: Phoenix wins 116-110

Devin Booker had 27 and Jalen Green returned from a long absence with 12 in 20 minutes as Phoenix outlasted the short-handed Sixers. Phoenix’s bench played a huge role — four double-digit scorers led by Jordan Goodwin and Grayson Allen (16 each).

Philly was down Embiid (ankle) and Paul George (knee), and Tyrese Maxey couldn’t find his rhythm. He shot just 7-for-25 en route to 20 points. VJ Edgecombe (25) and Kelly Oubre Jr. (21) stepped up, but the Sixers couldn’t get stops in crunch time or match Phoenix’s second-unit production.

Jazz vs Timberwolves Recap: Utah wins 127-122

Keyonte George delivered a breakout game with 43 points, and Jusuf Nurkic registered a 16-18-10 triple-double to lead Utah in a comeback win over Minnesota. Ace Bailey (20) and Isaiah Collier (18 and 10 assists) also made big plays down the stretch.

The Timberwolves got 38 from Anthony Edwards and 19 from Julius Randle, but Utah outworked them late. Ball movement and hustle possessions swung momentum, and Will Hardy notched his 100th coaching win in style. George’s shotmaking in the fourth was the clear edge.

Rockets vs Spurs Recap: Houston wins 111-106

Reed Sheppard dropped 12 of his 21 in the fourth quarter, capping a comeback for the Rockets after trailing by 16. Alperen Sengun flirted with a triple-double, and Amen Thompson added 16-10-6 in a balanced Houston win.

The Spurs started hot from deep, but collapsed offensively after the first. They shot 6-for-37 from three over the final three quarters. Julian Champagnie led with 27, but no one else found consistency. A brutal late-game fade if you were on the Spurs side.

Bulls vs Clippers Recap: Chicago wins 138-110

Coby White stayed hot with 27 points, Matas Buzelis had 21, and the Bulls destroyed the Clippers at home in one of their cleanest shooting nights of the year. Chicago tied a franchise-best with 25 made threes and led by 31 at one point.

The depth showed — seven Bulls hit double figures. Tre Jones had 15 and 10 assists, Nikola Vucevic added 19, and the offense clicked wire to wire. LA got 24 from Harden and 23 from John Collins, but there was no perimeter resistance. Bulls were never in danger of blowing this.

Heat vs Kings Recap: Miami wins 130-117

Bam Adebayo posted 25 points, seven boards, and five assists as Miami buried the Kings from deep. The Heat shot 50% from beyond the arc (21-of-42) and got a boost from Simone Fontecchio, who tied a career high with five threes.

Sacramento couldn’t keep up defensively and trailed throughout. DeMar DeRozan and Russell Westbrook combined for 45, but Miami’s spacing and shooting kept them at arm’s length. Dylan Cardwell grabbed a career-best 12 rebounds, but that was one of the few Kings bright spots.
