No. 19 Texas Tech 82, No. 3 Duke 81
Christian Anderson hit the first of two free throws with 3.4 seconds left and Texas Tech completed a 17-point comeback to stun Duke at Madison Square Garden.
Anderson scored 23 of his 27 points after halftime, while J.T. Toppin fought through foul trouble and finished with 19, including key buckets in the late surge as the Red Raiders (9-3) handed Duke its first loss.
Cameron Boozer led Duke (11-1) with 23 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists, and Cayden Boozer added 13. But Duke left points at the line (6-of-13 FTs overall; Cameron 3-of-7 in the second half) and went ice-cold from deep after halftime (3-of-13). With the game tied at 81, Anderson worked the clock down before Caleb Foster fouled him 35 feet from the rim. Anderson made the first and missed the second; after a timeout with 1.6 seconds left, Boozer’s left-wing 3 rimmed out and may have come after the buzzer.
