No. 20 Tennessee 83, No. 11 Louisville 62
Ja’Kobi Gillespie scored 23 points and poured in 20 after halftime as Tennessee ended a three-game slide and controlled Louisville with size and physicality. The Vols shot 58.3% after the break and held the Cardinals (who came in averaging 94.3 PPG) to a season-low 62.
Nate Ament added 13 points, while Jaylen Carey delivered 12 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. Louisville played short-handed after starting PG Mikel Brown Jr. was a late scratch (back), and the Cardinals coughed it up 16 times without him. Ryan Conwell led Louisville with 22.
No. 1 Arizona 96, Abilene Christian 62
Arizona rolled in Tucson behind Brayden Burries’ 20 points on 9-of-11 shooting, with six Wildcats scoring in double figures. The Wildcats shot 66.7%, owned the paint (44-22), and won the glass 38-23.
Motiejus Krivas posted 15 points on perfect shooting from the field and 7-of-8 at the line. Cbo Newton (17) and Joseph Scott (15) paced Abilene Christian, but the supporting cast couldn’t keep up.
No. 3 Duke 97, Lipscomb 73
Cameron Boozer stacked 26 points and 13 rebounds as Duke held off an upset-minded Lipscomb. The Blue Devils crushed the rebounding battle 55-21 and turned 20 offensive boards into 26 second-chance points, taking away any path for Lipscomb to steal momentum.
Grant Asman led Lipscomb with 18 points; Mateo Esmeraldo added 14 points and eight assists.
No. 5 UConn 79, Butler 60
Solo Ball hit a career-high 26 points to open Big East play with authority as UConn held Butler to a season-low total. Tarris Reed Jr. added 16, and Silas Demary Jr. handed out 11 assists as the Huskies controlled the flow.
Drayton Jones led Butler with 13, with Azavier Robinson and Evan Haywood adding 10 apiece.
No. 9 Michigan State 92, Toledo 69
Jaxon Kohler posted 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Jeremy Fears Jr. added 15 points and eight assists as Michigan State overwhelmed Toledo on the glass (54-24) and built a 58-28 halftime lead.
Sonny Wilson scored a career-best 29 for Toledo, but the Rockets’ second-half push wasn’t close to enough after the first-half avalanche.
No. 10 BYU 93, Pacific 57
Richie Saunders scored 24 as BYU stayed hot with its seventh straight win. AJ Dybantsa delivered 23 points and 10 rebounds, Robert Wright III added 22, and Tyler Mrus hit 4-of-4 from deep.
Pacific got 14 from Kajus Kublickas and 12 (all after halftime) from Elias Ralph.
No. 12 North Carolina 77, East Tennessee State 58
Henri Veesaar erupted for a career-high 26 on 10-of-11 shooting as UNC pulled away in the second half. Caleb Wilson added 20 points and eight boards, and the Tar Heels controlled the interior (36-22 points in the paint) and the glass (35-23).
Brian Taylor led ETSU with 14.
No. 14 Arkansas 108, Queens 80
Trevon Brazile set career highs with 26 points and five made threes as Arkansas drilled a season-best 14 triples to win its fourth straight. Freshman Darius Acuff Jr. added 23 points and 10 assists, with Billy Richmond III (15) and Nick Pringle (14) providing support.
Queens was led by Nasir Mann (16), Maban Jabriel (14), and Avantae Parker (13).
No. 17 Kansas 73, Towson 49
Flory Bidunga posted 18 points and 10 rebounds as Kansas pulled away comfortably despite being without freshman star Darryn Peterson (quad cramping). Tre White scored 16, Melvin Council Jr. added 15, and the Jayhawks never let Towson find rhythm.
Dylan Williamson scored 19 for Towson, but Tyler Tejada was held to eight as the Tigers shot 27.5%.
No. 19 Texas Tech 101, Northern Colorado 90
LeJuan Watts exploded for a career-high 36 points, scoring 20 in the first half, as Texas Tech survived a live underdog. JT Toppin added 23 points and five blocks, and the Red Raiders shot 59.3% while getting to the line 24 times.
Northern Colorado, without leading scorer Quinn Denker, got a career-high 29 from Brock Wisne and shot 56.1%—but couldn’t string enough stops together late.
No. 22 St. John’s 79, DePaul 66
Dylan Darling scored 17 and sparked key runs in both halves as St. John’s opened Big East play with a controlled win. Joson Sanon finished with 15 points and nine rebounds, and Ian Jackson added 10.
Kaleb Banks posted 19 points and 10 rebounds for DePaul, with CJ Gunn adding 15.
