Lakers 112, 76ers 108
Luka Doncic and LeBron James combined for 60 points in their return to the lineup as the Los Angeles Lakers edged the host Philadelphia 76ers 112-108.
Both stars missed the first two games of the road trip — Doncic for the birth of his second daughter and James with back and foot issues — but closed this one out. After Philadelphia tied the game at 105 with 1:29 left, James responded with five straight points to create separation and the Lakers held on, delivering the kind of clutch late-game execution that shows up in NBA betting strategies.
Doncic posted a triple-double with 31 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists, shooting 9-for-24 from the field. James was far more efficient, going 12-for-17 for 29 points while adding seven rebounds and six assists. Tyrese Maxey led Philadelphia with 28 points, nine assists and seven rebounds, while Joel Embiid was limited to 16 points on 4-of-21 shooting.
Thunder 131, Jazz 101
Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren scored 25 points apiece as Oklahoma City tied a franchise record with its 15th straight win over Utah in Salt Lake City.
Playing without reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for the first time this season and missing two other starters, the Thunder still dominated from the opening tip. Oklahoma City shot 58 percent from the field and went 21-for-42 from 3-point range, another data point for bettors tracking form and shooting variance on the NBA odds and scores screen.
Kyle Filipowski led the Jazz with 21 points on 10-of-14 shooting and 10 rebounds. Walter Clayton Jr. and Taylor Hendricks each added 20 points off the bench, but Utah’s defense never slowed the Thunder’s perimeter barrage.
Knicks 106, Magic 100
Jalen Brunson scored eight points during a decisive burst to open the second half and finished with 30 points and nine assists as New York beat Orlando at Madison Square Garden.
Josh Hart added 17 points and 12 rebounds for the Knicks, who played without Karl-Anthony Towns (left calf) but still completed a perfect 3-0 homestand and improved to 13-1 at home. New York took control with Brunson’s third-quarter run and then managed the game late with half-court execution and rebounding edges that fit the profile of teams highlighted in NBA betting trends.
Anthony Black had 14 points and 11 rebounds off the bench for the Magic, who lost for only the fourth time in 14 games. Jalen Suggs scored 17 points, while Paolo Banchero and Desmond Bane scored 16 apiece.
Celtics 121, Raptors 113
Jaylen Brown poured in 30 points and Derrick White added 27 as Boston held off Toronto to extend its winning streak to five.
Payton Pritchard scored 15 points and Neemias Queta contributed 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Celtics, who have won 10 of their past 12 games. Boston built a 23-point lead early in the second half before surviving a Raptors surge.
Brandon Ingram scored 30 points for Toronto, which has dropped three straight. Scottie Barnes added 18 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists, helping the Raptors claw back to within striking distance before Boston’s late push sealed it.
Nuggets 115, Hornets 106
Jamal Murray scored 34 points, including a big early flurry, and Nikola Jokic added 28 points and 11 assists as Denver beat host Charlotte.
Tim Hardaway Jr. chipped in 14 points and Peyton Watson added 10 as Denver improved to 11-2 on the road and stretched its away winning streak to 10 games. The Nuggets shot 51.8 percent from the floor, repeatedly carving up the Hornets’ defense.
Miles Bridges led Charlotte with 24 points, Brandon Miller had 17, KJ Simpson added 16 and Kon Knueppel scored 14. Liam McNeeley posted 13 off the bench, but the Hornets have now dropped three of four.
Grizzlies 119, Trail Blazers 96
Santi Aldama came off the bench to score 22 points and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Jaylen Wells added 16 apiece as Memphis rolled past visiting Portland.
The Grizzlies have now won five of six and recorded back-to-back home victories for the first time this season. Memphis’ bench delivered 69 points, with Jock Landale contributing 15 points and eight rebounds and Cam Spencer adding 12 points and six assists. Starter Zach Edey posted 12 points and 10 rebounds before fouling out in the fourth quarter.
Portland was held below 100 points for just the second time this season. Jerami Grant led the Trail Blazers with 21 points and seven rebounds, while Deni Avdija added 17 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in the team’s fifth loss in six games.
Warriors 123, Bulls 91
Golden State hit 22 3-pointers — its second-highest total of the season — and never trailed in a 123-91 blowout of host Chicago.
Playing without Steph Curry (quad), Draymond Green (foot) and Al Horford (sciatica), the Warriors still looked comfortable from distance. Seven players made a three as Golden State went 22-for-47 (46.8 percent) from beyond the arc. Brandin Podziemski came off the bench to drill five triples and finish with a game-high 21 points. Quinten Post also hit five 3-pointers and scored 19, while Jimmy Butler added 19 points and two threes.
Josh Giddey led the Bulls with 18 points and five assists, and Matas Buzelis scored 16 on 7-of-12 shooting for Chicago, which could never mount a serious run.
