Brisbane Australia 5, Brno Czechia 3

Brisbane, Australia used an early scoring surge to knock Brno, Czechia out of the Little League Baseball World Series with a 5-3 win. Czechia pitcher Mikulas Barta had trouble with command in the opening frame, loading the bases with two walks and a single before unleashing back-to-back wild pitches to Braxton Black that brought home a pair of runs. Another run scored on a passed ball during the same at-bat, giving Brisbane a quick 3-0 cushion. Czechia clawed back in the second with a run, but more control issues doomed them when Barta walked in two additional Australian runs. Czechia made things interesting late, trimming the deficit to 5-2 in the fifth and plating another on Barta’s sacrifice fly in the sixth. They had runners on second and third with just one out, but the game ended in dramatic fashion as Mikulas Balog was picked off third after Averey Griffin hauled in a fly ball to center, sealing the elimination for Czechia.
