Austin Reaves hit a driving jumper at the buzzer to give Los Angeles a thrilling road win over Minnesota. Reaves finished with 28 points and 16 assists, carrying the Lakers (3-2) with LeBron James and Luka Doncic both sidelined. Jake LaRavia added 27 points on 10-for-11 shooting, including five 3-pointers.

Julius Randle led the Timberwolves (2-3) with 33 points, while Jaden McDaniels added 30. Reaves took the inbounds pass with 6.6 seconds left, split two defenders, and drained the winning jumper from inside the free-throw line.

Mavericks 107, Pacers 105

Dallas’ bench scored 64 points to lead the way, with Brandon Williams pacing the Mavericks (3-1) with 20. Rookie Cooper Flagg had a 15-point, 10-rebound double-double, and Dwight Powell added 18.

Pascal Siakam tallied 27 points and 13 rebounds for Indiana (0-4), which missed a last-second 3-pointer by Aaron Nesmith that would have won it.

Grizzlies 114, Suns 113

Ja Morant scored 28 points and delivered the game-winning basket with 7.6 seconds left as Memphis (3-2) edged Phoenix. Jaren Jackson Jr. added 18 points, while Cedric Coward and Santi Aldama each chipped in 14 off the bench.

Devin Booker poured in 32 points, 29 of which came in the second half, but his contested 3-pointer at the buzzer was off as the Suns (0-4) remained winless.

Trail Blazers 136, Jazz 134

Jrue Holiday scored 27 points and knocked down four clutch free throws in the closing seconds as Portland (3-1) held off Utah. Deni Avdija added 19 points, nine rebounds, and five assists, and Shaedon Sharpe and Jerami Grant each had 18.

Lauri Markkanen led the Jazz (1-4) with 32 points, while Keyonte George scored 29.

Nuggets 122, Pelicans 88

Nikola Jokic posted 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists — his fourth straight triple-double — as Denver (4-0) routed winless New Orleans. Jamal Murray added 17 points, and Christian Braun matched him with 17 off the bench during a dominant 29-2 third-quarter run.

Zion Williamson scored 11 points in his return for the Pelicans (0-4), who were outscored 39-11 in the third.

Rockets 139, Raptors 121

Kevin Durant scored 12 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter to help Houston (2-3) pull away from Toronto. Jabari Smith Jr. added 25, and Alperen Sengun and Amen Thompson each scored 18.

Scottie Barnes led the Raptors (1-4) with 31 points, and Brandon Ingram followed with 29 in the team’s fourth straight defeat.

Pistons 135, Magic 116

Cade Cunningham logged 30 points and 10 assists to pace Detroit (3-2) past Orlando. Tobias Harris had 23 points, and Jalen Duren added 21 points and 12 rebounds.

Paolo Banchero tallied 24 points, 11 boards, and seven assists for the Magic (0-4), who missed 11 free throws and lost their fourth straight.

Celtics 125, Cavaliers 105

Jaylen Brown scored 30 points and Josh Minott grabbed 14 rebounds as Boston (4-1) rolled past Cleveland. Sam Hauser added 21 points on seven made 3-pointers, and Derrick White scored 19.

Evan Mobley and Jaylon Tyson each had 19 points for the Cavaliers (3-2), who had their three-game winning streak halted.

Bulls 126, Kings 113

Matas Buzelis scored 27 points and Josh Giddey and Nikola Vucevic posted double-doubles as Chicago (4-0) stayed perfect. Giddey had 20 points and 12 assists, while Vucevic contributed 13 points, 14 rebounds, and seven assists.

Zach LaVine scored 30 in his return to Chicago, but Sacramento (1-4) dropped its third in a row.

Hawks 117, Nets 112

Jalen Johnson scored 23 points as Atlanta (2-3) overcame a 12-0 deficit and held off Brooklyn despite losing Trae Young to a sprained knee in the first quarter.

Michael Porter Jr. poured in 32 points for the Nets (0-5), who committed 16 turnovers leading to 27 Atlanta points. Cam Thomas scored 19 in the loss.
