Capitals Outlast Hurricanes in Shootout Showdown
Pierre-Luc Dubois opened and closed the scoring, netting the shootout winner after a 4-4 regulation battle between the Washington Capitals and the Carolina Hurricanes.

It was a wild night in Elmont as the New York Rangers scored nine goals to crush the Islanders 9-2. Rookie Brett Berard netted his first two-goal game, while Artemi Panarin added two goals and an assist.
The Rangers remain mathematically alive in the wild-card race, closing within six points of Montreal with three games left. Meanwhile, the Islanders are on the brink, sitting eight points back with just four to play.

Nick Foligno scored twice and Ryan Donato’s 30th of the year kicked off a 3-goal, 93-second blitz in the third as the Chicago Blackhawks upset the Boston Bruins 5-2.
Former Bruins Foligno, Donato, and Bertuzzi all scored. Boston’s struggles continued—they’ve now dropped 12 of their last 14 games. David Pastrnak and Morgan Geekie each had a goal and an assist, but it wasn’t enough to stop the slide.

Blue Jackets Rally Past Sabres With Late Surge
Down 2-0 early, the Columbus Blue Jackets stormed back behind third-period goals from Zach Aston-Reese and Boone Jenner to beat the Buffalo Sabres 3-2.
James van Riemsdyk also scored, while Jet Greaves made 39 saves. Buffalo’s five-game winning streak snapped, despite early goals from JJ Peterka and Rasmus Dahlin.
